When I saw that old dress in the bedroom you’re sleeping in my first thought was , “I’d be afraid my mind would make me think that dress is moving once at night time and I would NOT sleep”! 😱 Then, Kirsten admitted she was a little nervous the 1st night and couldn’t sleep. 😅 What an incredible place to stay in!! All to yourselves! And, it is very lovely!

Especially great job with covering the interior of the castle. It's a really distinctive building, very labyrinthine with so many little rooms and tight staircases. I especially liked the kitchenette tucked into the tiny room with rough stone walls. Anyway, enjoyed this a lot and I feel like I get to see so many interesting places through your videos.

Wow! Shades of Outlander! I know it's Queen Mary's bed chamber but when you said 'Fraser family', I just imagined kilts and bagpipes! What a spectacular fortified castle! I love that it hasn't been 'modernised'. The character and the authenticity in the design and construction conjure history and tradition and sparked my imagination! The beautiful dress in the bedroom just brought the entire time-travel experience to life! Having you explore and discover all the hidden corners of the castle was beyond delightful! Besides , the places of accommodation always inspire me. So I found a solution to building a shower in our guest bathroom. Such a unique and interesting castle with all its’ nooks and crannies and amongst beautiful hills and views. The town of Peebles is very charming...would love to browse and eat there. Along with the Scottish music, I thoroughly enjoyed this video dear friends. Thank you once again. 🥰 Scotland is very dear to me as my maternal Grandmother was born and raised in Caithness. As a youngster, she took me to visit friends and relatives many years ago. Cherished memories.

I fancy I could hear your excitement at the beginning of your video. What a wonderful accommodation! When we visited Scotland in March 2002, it was foggy when we got there and foggy when we left but the rest of the entire week it was in the 70's! We had planned for rain and cold and were quite warm in the clothing we brought with us but we did enjoy having cool beverages on our terrace looking over Loch Ord. Scotland is so stunning!

Kirsten and Jorg, thank you for taking us on your recent journey to this beautiful castle in Scotland. I know that you mentioned “Downtown Abbey”, but this castle reminded me so much of “Lallybroch/ Midhope Castle, from the wonderful US Star series, called “Outlander”, where a women falls through time, from 1945, whilst on a delayed honeymoon to Scotland, and ends up in the year 1743. If you have not watched this series, I would highly recommend it to you both, which I am sure that you will both love, especially having stayed in this amazing place… I instead have done a “swap”, moving from Nottingham, in the East Midlands, to live in the stunningly beautiful, Baden Wüttenberg area… but I could do without having moved to one of the most insanely hottest places in Europe, with the mosquitos (which I am allergic to), and the wretched ticks, which infest this area (sigh), but I never take for granted the stunning views from our house, across the fields, with horses grazing, towards the Oden Wald area :-) I have newly subscribed to your wonderful channel. Greetings to you both from Germany:-)

OMG, you were in a castle. In an actual castle, just for the two of you. Now that's a treat. The sitting room looks huge, but it also feels cosy thanks to a giant fireplace. The view from the window is spectacular. It is indeed a great place for a wedding venue, once you eliminate the boar head(s). Thought there would be some torture chambers but sadly no, only the toilets. 😆
