I adore you both so much! I know that you wish you could film a holiday for us, but by doing videos such as this, it’s much like having a close friend over for a visit. Friends that you can bounce ideas off of and share special things with. And honestly, during these uncertain times, the warmth both you and Joerg share with us is very comforting, and very welcomed. After my day here at work, I come home, and while I’m cooking dinner, I watch you both. It is a happy routine that I’m very thankful and grateful to you both for 💖 much love from Phoenix, Arizona, USA 😍

An Egyptian table? And an “Egyptian Mummy” of a chair in all of its wrappings! ☺️. I so agree with you that an upholstery fabric should be thicker. Both the striped fabrics you like are great, and would fit with the decor of your other rooms should you ever wish to change things around. Thank you so much for your films. I too loved Laura Ashley, Emma Bridgwater, Burleigh pottery, Country Living magazine etc., and enjoy your films so so much. Take care, stay safe.

I like the grey stripe fabric the best, the one that Joerg likes. It looks like it goes well with the carpet, and you can always add a small pillow if you want a pop of color. I love watching your house come together little by little.

I like the one that Joerg likes also. It is somewhat plain, meaning you won't get tired of it. It is also neutral so could be used in other rooms. As Lana said, you can add a small cushion and vary the colour of that cushion as the mood suits you.

Do not worry Kirsten about not being able to show travel videos. I love your home renovation videos and love everything you choose to show us. Joerg does everything to perfection which I am sure you greatly appreciate. I used to get Homes and Antiques magazine on prescription many years ago but stopped buying magazines because all I did was drool over the beautiful houses and furniture! It ended up that I never read them and only looked at the lovely pictures. You have some really nice fabric samples and it is always difficult to make a final decision on which one to have. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you both next time.

My husband and I wallpapered together this week for the first time. We are snowed in and it ended up being a project we could do with the time we had indoors. Sometimes if you love your partner you can make anything fun...even mounting a new t.v.

I moved to Florida (St. Petersburg) and brought my large flat screen which I am viewing now and hung at the top of the room. I love finding Sea videos with turtles and fish in the ocean. It is like living in aquarium and so peaceful. So I love your TV - it will absolutely make you feel that you have a large picture window in your small , lovely get-a-way.

Love everything you have brought into the room, the box is BEAUTIFUL, my favorite color of wood! The slipper chairs with the table will be PERFECT, also both elegant. And I must say this, I don’t consider watching you hang a tv is boring. I know this may not have occurred to either of you but those of us who do not have someone to do these with us would find watching the process very instructive. Besides, Joerg is always so meticulous in the projects he takes on it is an opportunity to pick up a tip or two. I think you both have such wonderful taste. And those of us who are old enough understand a partnership that works is something to behold and we understand that people are not perfect. Thank you for making my lockdown a period where I have these lovely visits to look forward to!

I love your peaceful homely vlogs as much as the great adventures. Both are escapist and beautiful. The Egyptian table is highly appropriate for an older English house. I remember studying portraiture from the 18th Century in England and Scotland and many people liked to be depicted with exotic pieces from abroad from their Grand Tour or further afield such as China, Persia or India. It showed their status as a traveler and well-educated - as you both are :)

Despite lockdown you still manage to entertain us so no need to worry that it’s not all travel away. I live in Cheshire so I like to see your local walks as it gives me ideas for home adventures with my dog. It’s nice to see you at home and relaxed. I lived on the border of Austria and Germany near to Salzburg for a while and so I like it when you speak German.

Hi kirsten and joerg. Another wonderful video, I love your ideas and very good taste. I took a chair from a recycling centre a few years ago, I sanded, undercoated, painted, removed the padding on the seat, replaced it with foam and lovely fabric and Beeding. Gave the chair a new lease of life and I'm very proud of it. Your rooms are all looking lovely and you are such an amazing, interesting couple. I so very much look forward to your videos. Following your videos whenever I can, and I realize this video is from two years ago, but no matter, so enjoyed watching this one and seeing Joerg hang the TV, so nice! You two have such synchrony and mutual respect. I’m old enough to be your mom and I take note that you are very different from many people your age. You both seem like good people, and I have to also comment that it’s nice to see people your age not sporting tattoos, which honestly seem to be ubiquitous. I know that comment will rankle some of your viewers, but it’s just my opinion. I am a big fan already and seriously watch you both for continuous mood therapy. Kirsten, your voice is lovely and you are so kind and sweet. It is always nice to share your home DI Y.....love the table & chairs...I like to layer & co-ordinate fabric styles & colours...the stripe is a good choice..either colour pink or beige.....wonder if a stripe with beige & blue like the wall/ carpet colour would work...whatever you choose will be great🙂smart TV’s just keep getting smarter,I like the picture frame idea....travel & living in different places expands our mind & increases our appreciation of the everything....

I’m so sorry that you still have neck problems from an accident of so long ago. Your t.v.’s placement is perfect for viewing from a sitting position, in any case. What a great feature these televisions have nowadays, to be framed and looking like a piece of art, instead of a large black rectangle, dominating the room. Your chairs, desk and tables will look lovely together, and the room will be stunning, and a jewel of a retreat.

I like the TV. The chairs will be beautiful. This room will be Joerg’s office at home if I remember correctly. It’s going to be so nice. It’s true, when you pick out fabrics, you seem to wind up liking the most expensive fabrics. Lol. With a stripe I would spend the extra. Stripes are weak at points and tend to rip along a stripe so a heavy fabric is preferable to me. All of them look so nice, hard to choose. Thank you for sharing your home. I can SO relate to rooms being fine at one point, then I find it necessary to sort out something for a birthday or whatever. I have to dig in drawers or closets and putting them back together takes what feels like forever!

@@KirstenJoerg that's true....and it's easier to make the right choice and u can feel the fabric. Your choice is also wonderful...but i love the Cottage style like light colours with flowers 😍

How very brave you are Kirsten to carry a tray with two large filled tea cups up a flight of stairs! I'd be setting up a tea-making station near an outlet and putting a kettle and other tea making things in a little cupboard right in the room so I wouldn't have to try to do that exercise ever again.

Oh! Kristen & Joerg your video's are always wonderful. You make them so special. I to have been to Egypt many years ago and how I loved it. Those were Special moments in time just like for yourself.
