Step into an ELEGANT 400 YEAR OLD COTTAGE IN CORNWALL// In today's video, we give you a full tour of a beautiful 400 year old cottage on the Duchy of Cornwall Estate. Restormel Cottage was built in the 17th century and is the most beautiful holiday accommodation that we had on our list for a couple of years. The classic and traditional interior design with Farrow & Ball colours, beautiful linen curtains, a gorgeous colourful country kitchen, not to mention the cracking fire, is so cosy and inviting. Restormel Cottage is in a beautiful woodland setting so we explore the area of course and hope you enjoy it all. Kirsten & Joerg

Grandma from NJ who worked 40 years for an airline and went out on disability recently but I am still responsible for three 93-100 years old family members and the stress never ends. I'm from Jersey too, you know here in the States you can hire a Certified Home Health Aide, preferably one who has had facility experience & Medicare will help pay for it....I know what you're going through and you don't have to go it alone. Stay healthy and in shape, maybe you too can take a vacation and stay in a lovely cottage like the one featured here today!

Oh thank you all......we do have 24 hr care for my folks who still live at home in Bergen county but as you know its very expensive and my dad has Alzheimer's and my aunt whose 100 lives in a very nice assisted living but there's a ton of work and non stop dr appts so we don't sit home and mope. This is my first time writing a comment and it was very pleasant. TY!

Kristen besides the adventures that you share with us, I always like your dress style. It is ao good that you often wear dresses and skirts. Today so many women wear only pants/trousers. Even the Princess of Wales, who has a wonderful wardrobe, has worn pants on her last seven engagements. I get that they are comfortable and practical, but I do like to see a lady, look like a lady. You are such beautiful and lovely guides through these cottages and I believe that is because you truly love and appreciate all the work and individuality that goes into making each one so very special. I so loved the UK when we traveled there and enjoyed how very old the buildings were and that they were treasured and not torn down as so many are across the pond. The history is honoured in the UK. I love your knowledge of paint colours and fabrics. Your excitement over the bright red and white Tea Set. Your breakfast meal looked wonderful but Joerg's dinner was equally as special. I love stone cottages. You take us to the most wonderful places, it's difficult to have a favorite. They are all gorgeous! In this one I particularly love the windows, the wall color, the floors, that gorgeous brass bed and the very sweet Welsh dresser, the fire place.... well just about everything! Such a beautiful cottage. It looks quite old from the stonework, and I love the Gothic style windows. I like the colors, the artwork (especially the florals and botanicals), and the grounds are so lovely. I could see living there with a couple dogs, a cat, and two horses in the storage building! Im quite ready to move in! I do hope I can visit Great Britain someday. Cornwall, Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Wales, Scotland, Ions, Hebrides. Looks like I need to move there! Hi Kirsten and Joerg.. Just loved this video.. the house was decorated beautifully and it’s so fun when you take us in every room. I loved the Duchy of Cornwall nursery. Had to look up what the Duchy of Cornwall was.. Not a word we use in the states. I was so glad to see you bought the bunny! I spotted it immediately when you walked in and thought I would love to have that cute bunny. Those breakfasts were amazing. You find the best places to share with us! An interesting use of the English language: In America, homely refers to a person who looks unattractive, nearly ugly. We would say that a house & its decor look homey. 😊

Thanks so much, glad you like it! The filming is always done by the two of us. I always film the entire cottage tours including the parts with the details and music and when we’re outside we film with 2 cameras.

Hi Kirsten and Joerg, I love this cottage, the colors are so pretty that they picked. I am so glad you tell us what they are, I am thinking of repainting the inside of my house this winter, and I love this company Farrow and Ball. The courtyard is a beautiful place to have a meal or just a beverage. The garden perfect. I loved the cafe, your breakfast looked delicious, and they garden store was lovely, I love your bunny. So beautifully furnished and decorated! You are so kind to provide the paint names, and close-ups of the fabrics, pictures, and pottery. I’m sure we all want to replicate the timeless beauty of this cottage in our own homes. The British have a way with paint colour, as well as, fabric and wallpaper patterns! The bunny you’re taking home is a great choice. I can imagine him up to mischief, running around your garden when you’re not looking, in his little blue jacket….your own Peter Rabbit. So many notes, shades and beautiful colours of Cornwall. Almost felt the breeze with you! This was an exhilarating one. Thank you so much... looking forward to the accompanying video. I felt there was a sense, in the cottage, of the pleasure of decorating and maintaining each room. There looks to be a variety of options for visitors, a lovely springtime destination.

Loved the outside of the cottage. I personally like more dramatic colors and textures for inside decor. I also am a big fan of four poster and canopy beds. Would have loved to have seen it a bit more historical decorated.
