I would love to see a do's and dont's on freehand drawing. things like getting proporsions right as well as tips for imagening where to put more or less shadow's. greaat video as always, keep it up.

omg I just tried drawing hair like your picture and I'm shocked by how good it turned out. I don't draw at all, never tried to draw hair before, but the way you explain things and show it in your video makes it nice to learn and follow. my picture by no means looks like yours but it also doesn't look like the "don't" version either. I'm so excited to practice drawing more, I always thought I couldn't draw. thank you❤

You know what they say, there's nothing as bad as a bad hair day... That's true for the arts as well... You can simply not screw up the hair of your subject... I mean especially not if it's a portrait of a female subject, her hair is her best accessory... Cool video.

Hi Kirsty, I’m so glad I found you on YT. Been away from my portrait drawing for a decade or two. I know. Now approaching my retirement, I’m determined to get back to it. I struggle on my own charcoal pencil... I cnt afford like that 1 you used. So everyday i focused on doing every littlethings you taught and try it on my pencil.. (charcoal pencils.. Soft.,hard.and medium.)cant do like you do but God bless you for the teachings..

Hi Kirsty, great video as usual. What would you recommend for drawing hair like that when the subject has very light hair, like a silvery or platinum blonde? Im struggling to get enough depth 'cos there are no really deep shadows in the main masses of hair.
