I was living in the Brooklyn, Henry St. Temple at this time, giving birth (or almost..she was born Aug. 11, that year, on Janmastami) to my daughter. I was able to attend a number of kirtans with Visnujana Swami leading, always so ecstatic! I actually recognize some of these devotees, as I moved to the LA Temple in mid '76.

I met Visnujan Maharaj shortly after this video. I mentioned to Him that He chants the Mantra~ Govinda Jaya Jaya Gopala Jaya Jaya Radha Ramana Hari Govinda Jaya Jaya as much as PanchTattva Mantra and Hare Krishna Mantra. He replied~ "Yes ! Srila Prabhupada told me that this Mantra and PanchTattva Mantra and Hare Krishna Mantra are the 3 most important Mantras of ISKCON." 🌸👣🌸

I don't think I'll ever be able to truly fathom how incredible this must have been. All glories to our Srila Prabhupada. And all glories to these amazing pioneer vaishnavas of the west.

When Srila prabhupada and Visnujana looked at each other the others in the room would start to cry....because of the love they could feel they had for each other...( see the: following prabhupada videos)

Boy oh boy, this video brings back so many memories The good ole days, when most of the devotees were penniless and very surrendered to guru and Krishna . Srila Prabhupada looks like He can barely contain His ecstasy as the devotees chant and dance in bliss.

Can barely wait for the downfall of modern society so the guru imposition in Iskcon will thankfully be eliminated and Srila Prabhupada will be the sole diksha guru in Iskcon.
