I was there all the hate here. I was appreciative to be there this night and see the physical end of an era for Gene and Paul. Should they have called it years ago sure but to still see KISS in person one last time was amazing.

Love them or loathe them, there are certain things about KISS some people tend to forget. They were KISS. There has been - as far as I can recall - only 3 other acts that have had the same worlwide impact on the youth of their times. Elvis, The Beatles and ABBA. They basically invented the larger-than-life stage show format and they had a mythic like concept with the make-up and costumes that lasted for a decade. One of the true great and original bands of all time.

I sat right about where you shot this from in February 1977. The concert began the same way with the same song. I am so glad they did a finale at MSG. NYC is Kiss home base and you were lucky to be there. Thanks for uploading.

Saw Kiss at the sold out Hollywood Bowl recently and they rocked! Some of the comments here are ridiculous. Always amazing to me that so many people waste their time making those kind of negative comments. If you don't like Kiss, don't watch the video, and keep your negative comments to yourself. Do something positive with your life. Listen to your mamma - if you don't have something nice to say STFU. Sheesh. Thanks Michael for putting up this video.

That`s what they`re there for ma`am/sir.....I`M just venting because of how they took advantage of so many after the 'Farewell' tour....I went through thousands thinking that was the end of the band I defended since I was a kid in `77/`78 going into/out of high school,through family deaths,marriages,divorces,etc....For GOD`s sake,my sentimental favorite song was/is "Odyssey" from "The Elder" record....Tattoos of them all over me kinda gives me somewhat of a right to opine and criticize if I feel and I`m sorry if you take it personal......My mother also used to tell ME,"Live and let live","Ignore it,if you don`t like it",and even the classic"Sticks and stones...." Obviously,words nowadays are considered assault weapons,so there you go..............Glad you enjoyed the show...so did I.

Glad to see the end of the road for KISS. I saw them in 1979 on the disco tour and again in 1996 on the reunion tour… which is when they should’ve hung ‘em up, but I always knew they’d stay around too long to the point where the fake band in the Holiday Inn Express commercial could prolly put on a better show!

Everyone busting their chops. I saw them in Nashville TN and they were awesome! They're not going to sound like they did in their 20s. No lip syncing either. I could tell. Wish people would leave them alone. They came out and put on a better show than most of the groups today.

Actually appreciate all of the comments in this video. I am torn. Huge fan, but a fan of the 70's and 80's up to Animalize and Revenge/Carnival of Souls. When they got back together it was special. It was something we hoped would happen. But now, no way am I paying $800 for two tickets to sit in the nose bleed to watch this current line-up. Will be interesting moving forward to see who they hire to play in the "new version" if there is one, and what new music is produced.

Kiss ended when Distroyer was released. I saw Kiss Nov of 1974 , Jan. 31st with Rush and the Tubes opening , and a 3rd time in fall of 1975 all at San Francisco's Winterland Auditorium.

yall know that the video screens are a couple milliseconds off when watching a video on youtube right? He definitely uses guide tracks throughout the show, but its not a complete mime. So many people on here “oh the tracks start at 2:19” the whole thing is probably sung to a guide track, but its his voice coming out, just a little out of sync on the big screen. Alot of concert and sporting event screens tend to run 1 or 2ms forward or back when rewatched through another screen

@DavidShoup-qj7jw exactly. Everything is timed, video, music, Pyro. All has to be synced up for show like this. All bands with elaborate shows do this. Which is why, you'll notice, there's not much dialog with audience and not much improv anymore.

Saw them in Montreal a couple weeks ago. You might like to imagine they lip-synch. They do not. Yes, there is some evident “help” with the instruments. That is the reality of doing a huge concert in 2023.

Yep. Heavily expected both of those shows to be the same thing I have seen twice since 2019 besides 3 songs being changed, but it's still pretty dissapointing. Besides all the awesome kiss related events happening around these shows, I am extremely glad I didn't spend thousands of dollars to travel to NYC for these gigs expecially if tomorrow is going to be the same thing. I hear there is something happening right after the regular show ends at the final show tomorrow involving "new technology",whatever that means but we'll see. Comedian Craig Gass also pretty much confirmed this on the recent three sides of the coin podcast. I'm sure it's nothing involving original or past members. They promised for years and undelivered as expected but it is all still pretty exciting to have the hope.... and i am very bummed im missing the experience on NYC.

A lot of you guys don't know the difference between pre recorded tapes and playback. Paul uses pre-recorded tapes, that means that he sings in live concert, but a tape in low volume helps him behind his voice because he's old, he's 72 years old. If he used playback, that would mean that he wouldn't sing at all, and the only thing that we would hear was going to be just an old live or studio tape. So, yes, technically, Paul does sings live.

Actually this is all of Kiss. Kiss is a band with four members and you can see on stage there are four people playing instruments

The boots on display at some pre show event had a pair enclosed in glass that said Tommy Thayer “Creatures of the Night” when in fact they were Ace’s from “The Elder”!! Tommy had NOTHING to do with that era! They trying to erase Ace and Peter any way possible!!!

Everyone is talking about how bad KISS sounds live and how they are prerecording vocals, but for me the most jarring thing is the lack of power in the "You Wanted the best, you got the best" beginning. Francis Steuber was really a GOAT announcer. His voice really put you into a good mood and ready for the biggest show on earth.... this guys voice is just flat. R.I.P Francis Steuber.

@@VanHalen_5150 Since 2002. Until 2020 when he passed away because of COVID. He was Paul's guitar tech. Their opening chant began with their roadie J.R Smalling saying the words. But for me Francis' version was the most iconic.

@@ajjy1110 Eddie Balandas was awesome too. Loved his introduction during KISS Alive II. But for me Francis was always the best because his voice was powerful AF. He could really just set you up for a ride that was a KISS concert.

As a fan, I'm very disappointed that they haven't changed the setlist for these last two gigs. That's pure laziness, and shows a lack of respect for the fans that have paid a lot of money to be there.
