I would like to gentleman argue that his voice has changed, and for the better; I believe that Seal’s voice has matured with bass and a lot more low-end mid range. Hearing the song back to back with the original version, you can hear how much more robust his styling became It adds an elegant and unique layer of depth to the original track.

Seal, one of the best musicians of the last 50 years for me. Surprising harmonic changes, always a poignant melody, dosed rhythm, from soft to rock, balanced dynamics, and always listenable. Henry, this song is so beautiful and was my favorite to skate to.. it was the ONLY time I ever felt free, being on the ice. Now, since I can no longer skate, I envision myself amongst the stars in my skates, skating to infinity! Thank you for this gem! So GLAD you didn't throw it away! Just a beautiful song. Love the Rick Beato breakdown of this where he calls Seal and Seal explains how he vocally wanted to recreate an orchestra with an 8 track as he doesn't play an instrument. Such an incredible feat knowing that. He's a really humble fella too which true great Artists are. This song just blooms with time. Love this mix with the horns. Was one of them Trevor @Seal ?

I absolutely love this song. But it wasn’t until about 15 years ago that I discovered that you’re so much more than just this one song. (I was raising kids and didn’t have much time to listen to music) Damn I about wore out some Seal CDs❤

I knew a few of his singles from the 90s but like you, it was later on that I dove in, at the end of 2010. And it was perfect timing as it was much needed. I always liked his voice so eventually the time came, and I fell in love with his music and singing.
