Gene Simmons is the “scary” guy. He plays the bass and his thing is to stick his tongue out. Apparently, his tongue is really long and one of the features that first made his makeup “Demon” persona memorable. Paul, the lead singer, is the Starchild.

That was guitarist Mark St. John's only video,and, he made only one album and never got to tour. He came down with reactive arthritis,that affected his hands and arms. He was replaced with Bruce Kulick. Bruce's brother Bob auditioned for the original lineup.

Gracie Reacts, Thank You for this reaction video, I was from 1950's era in life rock and roll was my favorite choice of music I used to go to rock and roll concerts I really like day on the green tours of rock and roll bands they were on fire not really but wow it was awesome totally got your heart pumping feet jumping and hand clapping what great times those days was for someone like me work all week go to concerts from Friday to Sunday night what a life thanks for sharing your reaction totally priceless.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I have to say KISS in the 80's in retrospect was a bit hilarious. But they were not the only one. Maybe you should check out "The X in Sex", a perfect example...but well, hips don't lie.;) I prefer their first albums and "Creatures of the Night" and "Revenge". Those are great and they still sound good.

No it wasn't. They took off their makeup when Lick It Up was released in 1983. This is from Animalize released five days short of one year later. "Unmasked" had nothing to do with them dropping the face paint, it's simply the title of the album they released in 1980. They kept the makeup for three and a half years after Unmasked through The Elder and Creatures of the Night before removing it for the release of Lick It Up.
