It's rare to see it without Guillotine now, but me and my fireteam just did it (3 of us had already done it before). It's so much more fun than sword strats.

Cluster Strat was the start of cheesing this amazing boss. Nowadays it’s just swords. Unfortunate they never fixed the cheese for this boss. It’s such a good boss fight done legit. My first ever run was a legit run and it gave me a new appreciation for this raid and boss than it would if I had just cheesed her.

Thank you for providing a commentary free run. Very hard to find a video of this encounter without commentary. While each gameplay video has a specific audience, I truly enjoy this one because it allows me to immerse more fully into the actual experience. Plus the soundtrack coupled with the gameplay makes for a very cinematic experience for the viewer, props.

Even day 1 our team which was our first day 1 completion we done it and our only struggle was nezarec but it was deaths to his 1 hits once we solved that it was an easy 2 phase but we pushed it to a 3 just so we had the ammo for final stand

Unfortunately even legit now iv heard Riven has been power crept significantly. Back when I done her legit it took us 2 phases for the kill and we just got it but now iv been told you can very easily 1 phase her before the end of the first phase. They really need to increase her hp making legit hard again and the cheese almost impossible

I'd suggest you hit 570 power level before fighting Riven.

@@heciluss5016 if you were less than 570 enemies gonna have a red icon next to their names and you'll get killed in 3 to 5 shots but you can still beat it.

Always wished this fight would play the phase 2 music from the first main dps-enrage because it is sad it only play on that very short window. It is the best song in the game and you never get to hear it. The ending when you kill the heart also matches that section way more than the default section.

As someone who frequently raids is weird to see a 2 phase of Riven. Let alone the pimple phase. We are so over powered now we push damage so hard by the time we pop eyes we are in the race to the top. Kinda wild to see people having to 2 phase her now.

Most teams could easily 1 phase riven with the cheese, it's been like that for years. But you gotta check the date of the clip, this was taken on the 2nd week since the raid released. This is the legit way and I'm glad I captured this clip cause so many people on youtube wanna see how to beat it the legit way + feel the experience themselves :)

nah like a few days after the raid was dropped and everyone one got on power, people where cheesing riven forsaken was caused so much power creep its scars that it left on the meta are still felt to this day

I did Last Wish for the first time last week, and even though Kings Fall is my favorite raid (never got a chance to play Wrath), this raid definitely left me the most satisfied in the end. The encounters are so good!

The load out screams forsaken era. Bygoons ikelos and whisper. Riven legit is so fun need to run this again sometime not done it since the first few weeks of last wish being out. Always just cheese her nowadays since no one wants to do legit. Also I felt that load out switch at the end. Og Console load times were something else

IT'S SO FUCKING BIG. No you can't hurt her, also when we shoot her eyes that doesn't hurt her either but we do that to stun her from hitting us with a wipe attack.

I have a video but the problem is our first raid run took straight 25 hours of gameplay so I kept falling asleep at that final part and I kept dying in game so you can't really see me doing anything that's why I didn't upload it 😭

What annoys me more is you can tell they put a lot of work into designing this encounter and the whole raid but especially riven. Could honestly be part of the reason they don’t go all out on final bosses anymore. Why make all these mechanics and such if players will just find a loophole to cheese it. Obviously not gonna put all the blame on raid bosses since not being near as good but it’s definitely part of the reason I feel like. If I were In there shoes made an amazing final boss fight that’s fairly difficult to beat and players just found a way to skip it all I’d be demotivated to do it again. Final shapes there final chance tho. I’m hoping the extra year light falls gave them will be enough to get us a raid on par with last wish

I'm willing to sacrifice my Rivensbane title if it means Bungie would patch the cheese. I have the fucking title and never beaten her legit (everytime I ask people in LFGs if we cld do legit they decline/even if I make my own post stating doing legit either nobody joins or people join and still ask for cheese)

Update: I finally did it legit, it lived up to the hype but us being so overpowered right now made it way easy. (We didnt even need to do "pimple popping' to get to the ascendant realm with how much dps we do now). Still, best encounter in the whole franchise and I suggest everyone should try it

Everyone's whining about how complicated this boss is and how much they have to do the cheese. I wasn't expecting it to be super complex but when I learned them... Damn these mechanics are so simple even a baby could understand them. Anyone who cheeses this fight is lazy. It's not that hard. I hope Bungie fixes the cheese, I'm so sick of seeing Riven cheese runs everywhere.
