i’m not a professional obviously, but as someone who has had intense romantic acting scenes in a show before, you kind of have to have this sort of relationship with the other actor. it helps differentiate real feelings vs acting. especially when you’re dealing with a group of people who think that just because you can act intimate with each other that for some reason that means you actually have feelings. i’m sure a lot of the teasing is to diffuse any rumors of them having a romantic relationship. you can clearly see the trust and love they have for each other, it’s definitely needed to pull off the high level of chemistry that they have in the show.

Honestly Joe was born to play Wiccan, his middle name is William, he has the physical attributes of Billy Kaplan and he has weird thumbs like Elizabeth Olsen so that's something they can bond over.
