they are chanting OM NAMAH SHIVAYA.... the holy mantra of hindus... this music shows the world is one family, irrespective of cultural religious and racial differences. v are all equal and children of d same God, bonded togethr by the invisible bonds of love and spirituality. OMG OMG OMG I AM SO ELATED RIGHT NOW I’ve been hunting for this song for like 20 years. I heard it in my teens & fell in love with it and never forgot its name I’ve called so many radio stations over the years asking if hey could find it for me and googled it too Problem was I searched Dance of Sarah Savati Finally THIS TIME google auto corrected my spelling and led my to this video. This sounds EXACTLY the same as the original version I heard so long ago. I was afraid I wouldn’t recognize it even if it was the song. But nope I recognized it within the first few notes. Thank you, thank you for the post!!!

Just found the original version here today❤. But Kitaro, this song has become one of the collective memories for most HongKongers It was the theme song of a 24-year-old TV programme in Hong Kong called 《尋找他鄉的故事》"Stories from Afar Series "

I saw Kitaro in Hanover, New Hampshire on the UNH campus in 1989. He already had numerous albums, and Spirit of the Light was his newest. Even his more upbeat songs are relaxing and soothing...
