@@PrincessFelicie scam centers dont work like that.. you almost get paid nothing if you dont manage to get returns. The scum chain gets bigger the higher you get. and if they work by themself then it is also costly to run ads/websites and other needed software (and possible mules) so they would still be shedding money. I can accept your theory but the only reason would be that they literally have no one else to try and scam.

I know 2-3 people who have worked as a scammer in my hometown city. The perception is that, All the Americans have millions of money, if anything goes wrong with American, their government is going to help them out. They don't understand that, American (specially old American) are just as vulnerable as other people. No matter how bad I feel for the scammer, they are doing crime in real. And there is not excuse for it.

My great-aunt would have a hard time falling for one of these scams simply because she's not capable enough to handle computers or bank stuff. Many maps don’t feature New Zealand (I think there was a subreddit for it😂). Also he probably searched online for the wordle answer but maybe he did just see it and get it… in which case at least he did one productive thing that day!
