KitchenAid Dishwasher Product Review | Worth the money?????

Today we are reviewing our new KitchenAid dishwasher. We purchased it from the Sears outlet on 820 East Rector Rd San Antonio TX 78216. They sell scratch and dent appliances as well as floor models so we got a dishwasher that retails for $1500 for only $750. Below is the model and sku number if you are looking to purchase the same one.

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon castile soap
2 cups of water
10 drops of essential oil
2 citrus peels (lemon orange grapefruit)
small bunch of thyme
2 cups of white distilled vinegar
1 tablespoon of liquid soap
2 cups of water
8 drops of lemon essential oil

I have this dishwasher. The prowash isn't for more than tough in particular. It uses all sorts of sensors to analyze the wash water for how dirty the water gets and it will adjust the wash time accordingly. If your dishes aren't really dirty, the wash time is less. If they're really dirty it will run longer. The manual offers a great explanation of the cycle differences.

I love this Kitchenaid dishwasher. My dishes have never been this clean. My Bosch was 13 years old and died. I read reviews on Product reviews and chose this dishwasher. Oh yes. it is very quiet. Can hardly hear it. I did use Cascade pod that came with the dishwasher and the dry aid. Dishes were dry, plastics dry, glasses were spotless. I used normal wash. I am so happy I purchased this Kitchenaid. I paid $1049 on sale at HD.

Prowash setting is not a super heavy duty wash. It is a cycle that senses how dirty the dishes are and adjusts wash time and temperature as needed.

I totally appreciate this video-very helpful. I also rearrange things when someone else loads the dishwasher. Funny but true, our last dishwasher came with a diagram of how to load dishes. Enjoy using your new dishwasher.

Your going to love this dishwasher!!! We purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher in Jan 2021 and it’s absolutely amazing. Well worth the money even if you pay full price. What detergent are you using? We have hard well water with a water softener and I did have to change my dishwasher tablets after getting this dishwasher. But my dishes are always clean and clear glasses with no residue now. And yes, I’m the mom that when it’s my kids nights to do kitchen cleanup, I check the dishwasher prior to them starting it!! My 16yr old doesn’t need me to check it, but my 11yr old does. He does a great job, but hasn’t quite got the loading concept down. He will load it and say it’s full then I check it and add the rest of dinner dishes to it 🤣 he’s learning!!

I paid full price for the top model kitchen aid dishwasher. It has a window on the front and was well over $2,000. Worth every penny! My dishes come out excellent every time.

I recently got a Whirlpool dw! I love it and since I didn’t get an actual manual, I am going to pay attention on the color changes on the little dot that tells the stages of cleaning! I loooove ours and so happy y’all are pleased with your new one!❤️

I was going to say that the things inside of yours looks like my Whirlpool..LOL. The inside of your door immediately made me think of mine...same dispenser. I love mine. I have two separate silverware baskets. I love that I can move them around where I want .... I leave one in the sink to load while the other is in the dishwasher being cleaned. I don't have the third rack....I was on the fence about it, so Its nice to see you review it. I'm going to have to watch the status indicator light now. Mine has that too, but I've never paid attention it. Girl I just load and go. ha ha. I was at Best Buy the other day and looked at a Kitchen aid fridge....It was laid out very much like my whirlpool.....I loved the smoothness of the drawer glide, even the freezer drawer seemed well built sturdy and smooth. It really made me want one, but my Whirlpool is not that old, so I can't justify that purchase.

This really helps. My kitchen aid died this summer. I had it 19 years. I tried everything ti keep it. I took it apart and cleaned it. It still looks brand new. And we don’t have an appliance technician here to find the problem. So I had a hard time letting go. I made the mistake to order a dishwasher without looking at it. It is a Frigidaire. We had it shipped and it got damaged in shipping. We installed it anyway but it’s not good. I don’t like it. The racks are flimsy and the third rack on top and the first top rack don’t glide smoothly with each other. I don’t get it. Anyway. I don’t know why I didn’t purchase another kitchen aid. Anyhow. The damaged one is going because the transport company is reimbursing me. So I will get this dishwasher if I can find it. Can. You give me the model number please. Maybe that would be the easier way ti find this exact one. Your review is perfect. Thanks so much!!!

How well does yours dry without opening the door and not using chemical laden rinse aid? From my experience it is not good. The cleaning is great! Drying not so much.

I just used my dishwasher and the clean bottom is on and some how the other bottoms are block I can’t used my dishwasher any more any advice and how can I fix the problem I appreciate thanks.

My dishwasher broke during 2020 and I tried to get a Bosch, the. A kitchen aide, than I ended up having to just buy what I could find with really no choice.
