Kite Fishing from the Beach

In this episode of BlacktipH, I go kite fishing from the beach in North Carolina for cobia and sharks. I've always dreamed of kite fishing from the beach, and on this trip, I finally got to fulfill that idea! We used both live and dead baits on the kite fishing rods. We caught a variety of fish, including sandbar sharks, spinner sharks, and a giant roughtail stingray (which was the first roughtail I've ever caught).

I used to not like shark fishing but I went out with my uncle tuna fishing. I hooked into a thresher shark while we were cleaning some fish. I can say it is a huge blast shark fishing. It really gives you a challenge to fishing.

Hi Josh, I love your content and you guys have a fantastic fishery over there. I'm not familiar with your stingray species over there but in South Africa and Australia we've learned how to avoid handing them by the spiracles, which injures the fish and results in higher mortality rates. It's better to handle them by the mouth. Thanks again for great content.
