It was great to see the kites at Marina Barrage again. Everyone looked so happy, although a little more breeze would have helped more kites to rise, I think. Thank you for showing this. Although I'd seem videos of the kites at this location before, I didn't realise that they were actually flying from a roof!

I finally managed to film here at the Barrage. This video is made for you, Jim. Lot's of families, courting couples, kids and pets having fun here. You can feel the happiness. Surprisingly, they were still here after sundown. The last 3 Singapore Kite Days (Festival) were held here on the Green Roof of the Marina Barrage.

@@SingaporeCityWalks I greatly appreciate your showing this. It's great that people fly their kites for fun, rather than showing off that they have the biggest or most expensive kites, which often happens elsewhere. Many of the kites I saw would have cost just a few dollars, but can be just as much fun as expensive ones.

marina barrage is always a very popular destination for flying kites and picnics, especially its green roof area covered with natural grass. there is also another popular destination for flying kites just across the barrage called the breakwater @ marina east where we can see another beautiful view of the barrage itself and the cbd skyline in the background.

From the Green Roof, I sometimes see people flying big kites and inflatables over there. I will pop over there if I have time during my next trip to the Barrage. Thanks for the info!
