Kite winder stair build Pt1 - building the main framework

This is an open string staircase that will have Oak treads & painted risers, the top & middle of the strings are propped with timber, the side will get plywood mitred to the risers, at the top & the bottom will be a floor to ceiling 30mm square steel balustrade/frame,

Thanks Mike 👍 I'm ok, works been a bit messy for the last coupe of yrs, it's not easy to plan filming when you can't plan work, then covid n winter, but hopefully a better yr this yr, got loads lined up n people are settling into this covid crap so we'll see, continuing on this in a couple of wks when the messy trades have gone, got some alcove cupboards to fit 1st, 👍

Thanks Steve 👍😊 It did ok on most of the cuts but this wood is stored outside so it's a bit wet & i think the battery was on it's way out, my mains powered rip saw is Makita as is my track saws, I didn't have Makita batteries when i bought this saw but do now, so when i've spare cash i might look into buying a Makita, Just had a look,,, toooo many choices 😂😂makitauk.com/products/all-cordless-circular-saws

Great to see you back Gid and glad you've got loads on. Get yourself some knee pads that slide into your trousers. I didn't realise how much time I spent on my knees until I bought some 2 years ago. I've spent thousands on tools over the years but knee pads where the best £30 I've ever spent. 👍
