I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzfaq.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

I am sold on EGO products. I started with the first generation 20" push mower (self propelled not available) in 2014 and have since acquired many of the implements. My most recent is the multi head system with the edger attachment to start off. Next was the new Zero Turn Z6 mower (awesome) Now that is a lawn mower. Next is the Select Cut 21" self propelled mower (also a fantastic twin blade mower). Next the 575 CFM blower, the early 14" chain saw and lastly the 24" hedge trimmer. For the batteries I have the 2.5Ah, the early 4Ah, the 7.5Ah and 4 of the new 10Ah batteries. Guess you could say that I am hooked on EGO products. Great video you produced for us plain folks. Keep up the info on all there products.

FYI if you hold the hedge trimmer down, adjust the cutting blade like a hocky stick. It takes a long messy job of cleaning out tall sturdy weeds that the string trimmer can't cut. And makes really no mess at all.

Yeah RYOBi for decades was a " Budget' cheapo brand.. EGO was always a premium brand. So it was never a APPLEs to Apples comparison. Now in 2022 RYOBi has decided to start making a lot more " premium " tools . Things are changing. Example..Carbon Fiber, Whisper Quiet, Brushless 40V HP. Dramatically better than their 18 vol and original stuff. Their products are improving Is RYOBI superior to ego? Nope... But RYOBi are a lot more accessible, alot more common..AVAILABLE any Where. More compatibility..due to a dramatically bigger product line and always new products coming out every year . Far Far cheaper batteries too. I have a Honda powdered RYOBi pressure washer thats really really superb. I have some brand new generation 18+ Ryobi brushless handtools which are excellent! A small 18V + Brushless Impact electric driver with LeD lights is shockingly good around the house. RYOBI 40V Brushless HP multi tool.. is a superb powerhead for weed eating , edging, trimming hand held stuff outside. I got this 40V Brushless motored powerhead for 50 bucks it's compatible with all my 40 V batteries and all my old multi tool extensions from 20 years ago. You just can't EVER do that with EGO. ( price wise) I RYOBi better than EgO. Again I say no. But you're going to pay ALOT more than 50 bucks. The RYOBI push, self-propelled mowers are complete garbs.....except their riding mower. My friend has one and loves it and it's dead quiet.

I bought this version years ago. With the trimmer attachment but I don’t care for the trimmer at all. It’s heavy. I prefer the curved version of a trimmer. I think I mentioned it in your other video. The more I use the trimmer the more I like it. Excellent for edging, surprisingly. Today I used it on 3 properties and had 1 bar left on the battery. I charged it at lunch for a half an hour and did 3 more lawns. The blower lasted for all 6 lawns with some battery to spare. The true test will be on a 10 lawn day. I ran it on #1 setting all day which was plenty of power. I will be getting the strap as it is a little heavier than a echo gas trimmer. Not smelling like 2 stroke exhaust at the end of the day is worth the price of admission.

I’ve had a bunch and they are my main lawn equipment. Mine wore out after about 5 or 6 years. Some of my 2.5s I think will last a few more seasons I think

Can you reach out to your Ego contact and asked when is the Ego Rotocut Attachment (RTA2300) coming to the States. Why is it only available in the EU? I would much prefer to use a Ego product than the third party offerings.

There is a snow thrower attachment that came out this year in Europe, but I messaged EGO and asked them if it was coming out in the US and they said there were no plans for that! That’s a huge bummer for me, because the attachment itself looks great!

I wonder why they are not releasing in the US???

Great review. I know you have done one for Milwaukee’s Quik-Lok trimmer and I know the Quik-Lok is also attachment capable. Are the attachments from EGO compatible with Milwaukee’s and vice versa? from your video, I believe both have the same star-shaped drive cord.

I don't believe so

Andrew, another great video. I need to clean 3/4 minus rock from an asphalt road. Which would you recommend, the Bristle Brush or the Rubber Broom Attachment? Thanks.

Bristle brush is great

I have the EGO blower. It's very nice... but if you hit that turbo button, which, is actually required in order to move a lot of leaves in a timely manner, the battery goes down... QUICKLY. And I mean QUICKLY! Not trying to allude doubt here, because my EGO blower is great quality. It's just the battery does not last very long. So here's the million dollar question: What, if anything, is EGO paying you for this "RAVE" review? Are you being paid for this, or do you legitimately like the EGO multi-head trimmer, etc? Also, how long do the batteries last when using the trimmer? And, is the multi-head trimmer as nice as their stand alone trimmers? (non Multi-head) Thanks for the response ahead of time... I appreciate it.

Blowers are by far the hardest tools to power - you will probably never run out of power with these tools

I need to get the string trimmer, rubber broom, and edger but I can’t find the string trimmer in stock

Try Ace - I would also skip the rubber broom and go with the bristle

How much ? where we could buy that set ?
@timnash68703 жыл бұрын
Tim from Canada this is were here you were screwed.. you have to get the 56 for batteries rehear you were screwed... if you look into Milwaukee M 18 fuel powerhead brand same attachments.. but now you were running M 18 batteries which you can run in your drills all M 18 tools.. by Milwaukee and now it will run your powerhead for your lawn cleanup.. you do not have to go out and buy 56v batteries if you were buying Milwaukee you can save up by a drill M18; and run the same battery as your Milwaukee power plant something to look into.. and I am pretty sure Milwaukee has more attachments and you can use the same batteries on all power tools.. Can EGO do this answer is no
@Kitearmy3 жыл бұрын
EGO has more attachments - EGO also has a ride on mower - I don't feel screwed
