Kitfox Sketchy Takeoff With Strong Crosswinds

10 ай бұрынThis is out of Merkle Field. When we landed, Dubuque was calling it 10 gusting to 19 at 30. Runway is 36. A gust managed to get the airplane into the air before it was ready. We had to touch down again with the left wheel briefly.

That Kitfox didn’t need a 1/4 mile takeoff run.

Wasn't a quarter mile but we were heavy and with the wind gusts, I wanted some buffer.
