@@darudesandstorm7002 You can just look at general fan tests to know that a Noctua A12x25, Phanteks T30 or Nidec GentleTyphoon will be about as good as you can get. Most good fan testers include flow and noise through radiators. Open loops are for people who hate money. You don't have to want to spend thousands of dollars on cooling to get something you like.

So I have installed a EKWB Nucleus AIO CR360 in all white into my current computer, the aio fit perfectly into a fractal torrent case, and using a pull configuration, it replaced the d15 air cooler cooling a 13700k, the difference in temps at like the last time spy benchmark, that puts a heavy load on the cpu dropped from 90s C, to 70s C, the difference is like 20c under load. Temps at idle, about 10c reduction. The build quality is fantastic, the packaging apple level of neat. My only issue is the proprietary cable from fans is a bit short, and that is a problem. Also the way the fans connect together are set to push, set to pull, logos , brand markers, and the like all look wonky. Face the wrong way, upside down, ect….Think more thoughts needed to be put into fans installed to pull, and how the look, the short cable is a real issue, the looks of a pull configuration , somewhat minor. Overall, very happy with this aio, it’s flat out one of the best made, performance wise, is very very quite, recommended.

Looks like a great cooler. One we would expect from EK. I do have one question: you said that the tubing is 40 cm - while you demonstrated that this is sufficient for a compact case, how about larger EATX cases? Something you might like to investigate on AIOs in general is how much of the cooling is due to the pump and reservoir and how much is due to the fans? Or, what happens if you put different fans on an AIO?

It still has the bad tube mounting from the block. It's annoying with 4 sticks of RAM. Possibly bending the 1st slot a little if you want the pump block facing the "proper way". I had to rotate the block so tubes come from the bottom way so they wont get in the way of RAM. Standard ASUS ATX board. Other manufacturers have much better solutions, tubes go straight up from the block and not have this weird non fully rotateable angle. The exact same issue with their original AIO a few years back
@KitGuruJames
@KitGuruJames Жыл бұрын
The tubes are a little different. They are side by side this time. I had it mounted with the tubes by the side of the RAM and there was plenty of clearance. The tubes have more rotation this time compared with the original EK-AIO.

While I do appreciate the time and effort required to make these videos, I can't take these reviews seriously. a 5950x is nowhere near the hottest chip on the market, testing with a 12900k or similar would be a MUCH better indication of which coolers are actually worth spending your money on. I am aware this is to be able to sync it with the rest of the reviews and save time. However, it makes the review not valid in my eyes. Just some critical feedback. Thank you for everything you do.

Still Arctic liquid freezer 2 is best price to noise/performance AIO on the market. EK is loud, and when set to same noise levels as Arctic, Arctic LF leave EK in the dust. For the price difference you can mount P12 max from Arctic on the Liquid Freezer, and again beat EK by far. Nucleus is good AIO but not the best, Arctic Liquid freezer 2 is still the king, especially if you upgrade to P12 max fans.
@deuswulf6193
@deuswulf6193 7 ай бұрын
That's not really true anymore. Too many good value coolers have hit the market since then, even this EK model has a black edition that regularly sells for $130, which is about what the Arctic goes for. Not saying the Arctic is bad, just performance and price wise it has dropped a bit since it released back in 2021.
@SLSAMG
@SLSAMG 6 ай бұрын
Wrong. Arctic can't compete with modern AIOs that are capable of 3000+ RPM. Larger rads don't mean anything if the water moves around like syrup. Noise is a copout argument. You're a gamer, you'll be using headphones while gaming anyway, and most of that pump noise will be drawn out by case fans.
@deuswulf6193
@deuswulf6193 6 ай бұрын
@@SLSAMG I agree with your first part, but noise can be a very valid argument. This idea that you would game only with headphones is silly (no offense). Two reasons why: 1. Open back headphones. They carry a larger sound stage and work really well with virtual surround... but since they are open back you still hear everything in your surroundings, including PC. 2. Good speaker system. You lose out on an amazing audio experience if you only go with headphones. For example, if you have a pair of good bookshelf speakers on your desk, such as those made by Edifier (roughly around $100-130), you can literally feel the sound blasting your way as the bass carries with it a kind of weight that is very immersive. In both instances you can completely hear a loud PC and it can be distracting.
@SLSAMG
@SLSAMG 6 ай бұрын
@@deuswulf6193 Why would speakers change my stance? Be serious....
@deuswulf6193
@deuswulf6193 6 ай бұрын
@@SLSAMG Think about it. You are effectively suggesting that gaming must be done with headphones, likely under the misguided belief that it gives the best experience to the player. Such a notion is false. Good speakers with bass offer a much better experience when done at a certain level. Its the difference between listening to music on your headphones and going to a live concert while being in the front row. Alternatively, open back headphones are a thing, especially with audiophile grade cans. Why would you discount those? The only reason I can think of that you would do so, is due to a limited knowledge regarding the audio side of things. The only reason someone would likely feel the need (emphasis on need) to use headphones for gaming is because they don't want to make noise for anyone else, OR they are playing a competitive shooter and can pick up on enemy movement sooner. Can you admit that saying gaming must be done with headphones that block sound is a silly position to take?
