Watching kittens play is more entertaining than tv ❤

I had 7 kittens in my home at once, luckily they had thier dad and older siblings to play with, dad played with his kids ALL THE TIME he would wrasle them or deliberately tease them with his tail. Yall haven't truly lived if you haven't experienced a slightly older cat engage her newest sibling in a game a freaking PEEK-A-BOO. I didn't have to keep them entertained often lol

That pouncing when they are little is the cutest thing ever...my friend was raising kittens and baby goats together ...pouncing and hopping

We bought our orange tabby a store full of toys. He favorite one was always any unsuspecting guest or us. He would hide behind curtains, around corners, under furniture. Then he’d wait till someone walked by and leap out into the air at them with his paws and feet all splayed out. Then he’d just dance and scurry away all very smug with himself. I swear if he could he’d have yelled BOO 👻!! He was crazy but he was also a snuggle bug. He’d demand to be picked up like a baby and cuddled. Still miss him after all these years.

I found a 5 week old kitten in my carport. A tiny blonde creamsicle. 10 days later i took her to the vet she weighed 2.7lbs. I have 7 other rescue cats. Scooby and Charlotte immediately took to her. Pecking at her like chickens. My rescue calico loves babies and started mock nursing her. Trixie has been spayed. Didn't matter. All the cats love her now 3 months later. Noodles mimics every single cat around here. She has learned to tear up furniture, woodwork, and stalk lizards. I kind of worried because she doesn't have siblings to play with. Her new feline friends rangevfrom 2 to 14 years old. When i whip out the fishing pole EVERY cat reports for play. Hope it is enough for Noodles.

Took in a very young pregnant kitty while wintering in Florida. 29' trailer with a doored bunk room. She delivered 5 gorgeous babies the next day. This is exactly what I did! They needed playtime out of the bunkroom at about 4 weeks so out they came, exploring at first, then with toys to hunt and play with. When they got tired, they would find their way back to their nest in the bunkroom. They self trained with the litterpan. I had mom spayed in Fla., one boy was adopted to a wonderful couple (8weeks old) and everyone else came home to Ontario Canada. They are now 14 weeks old and going to their homes, with family members, at the end of May. They will all be indoor cats, and mom (keeping her) immediately adapted from starving stray to pampered indoor kitty with no issues whatsoever. I got my cat when she was just weaned from momma and she attached to me and is always by my side♥️🐈🥰 Her favorite thing to do is play fetch!!! She has a tiny stuffed horse that she carries around with her or a little straw like you. She wants to play all the time. She also curls up with me and sleeps, either right on my chest or neck!!! It’s getting warmer so she has been cuddling with me on my side. She’s such a sweet little girl. I love going through the kitten stage♥️♥️♥️♥️

Im fostering a momma and 6 kittens, it is so much fun watching them learn to play, yesterday one of the boys did a 💩 in the litter box, and they are hunting each other. And they have toys, its amazing to watch them grow and learn😸🐈‍⬛💕💕💕

Jackson, the feral Mama kitty of the sweet feral babies that we would finally tame fed her babies till they were 4 months old. They were the most adjusted kitties 😸 you ever did see. They lived long lives with us and dearly loved and now missed. Callie lived till 20 yrs 4 months. I held her as she passed to the Rainbow Bridge just as we did the others.

One of the kittens of our bunch has just shown me the extent of the hunting ability as much as the good driven. And still manage to demand love attention. It's so enjoyable watching them play with the toys. I die when they carry the mini mice around in their mouths.

I’m not sure why my guy was different, but he was just a little old man kitten. No one can recall a single mischievous thing. I had all manner of toys for him and we tried to engage him in play, but he just wanted to be held and cuddled and loved. He’s going to be 3 in August and a few times a week he’ll have moments of wildness where he charges up and down the hallway in the morning (I have no idea how those tiny delicate feet sound like a pony galloping) or he will jump on my bed and rolly poly all about looking for love. He’s not a lazy guy or anything like that, just so mature. I hope I can be more like my cat when I grow up 😂

I have toys littered throughout my house for my kittens, they go crazy running around and jumping and I’ve always got a teaser toy close by to play with them while I’m sitting down at night

My boy Sam LOVED fur mice. I bought a big bag of them once and tried to hide most of them. Sam went and got them one by one and put them at my feet. I miss him. ❤

Playtime is essential for kittens and puppies. They have a lot of energy but also room to grow.

I have rescued so many kittens. I leave them with mom till they are 6 plus weeks. If possible I trap momma as well. I had 2 mommas I could never trap. I had amazing trappers try. No results. Sometimes you just have to rescue the babies. One momma never had babies that survived. She had them in the greenbelt. The coyotes and other wild animals got them all NH UT 1. RAGNAR. I got him. Poor mamma tried so hard. I never stopped trying and feeding till I moved. 6 years in the same apartment complex and about 250 cats and kittens later and emotionally I am done. I feed strays now but fostering is no longer an option. I loved every last one of them. When I go to my old town I go see them and cry all the way home. Gammy was my last rescue. She was very old for the streets. At least 13 years on the streets. She died in a friend's house with love and comfort all around her. I was os broke and still gave half of what the cremation would cost. I could NJ ot throw her out again. She already had been thrown out like trash. Not again. She died after diabetes from years of bad cat food. I'm so sorry I can't do it anymore. It's too much for me

I play with my rescued cats/kittens every day. One gets super bored and will start knocking stuff off of the fridge to get my attention. He was born playing. Hence the name Player aka Player Playz

I LOVE your "fishing rod" toy. It has no metal and that quick release in case a nail gets stuck, at least that's what I think about the design . All other "fishing rod" toys seem to have metal at the clasp. Maybe I am just overly protective, but that toy you designed gets 5/5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

My fur baby won't t play with typical cat toys. He only plays with the geenery from artificial Christmas garland. However, I do bend the metal tip over so they won't hurt him. He throws them around, up in the air, and brings them to me to play fetch. Until they get warn, then it's rinse and repeat for the next few pieces to play with.

I bought some plastic balls with bells in them. My one cat Tobey decided she was gonna bite the plastic ball to get to the bell then bit it in half. How, I don't know. Needless to say I don't buy plastic balls for my cats.

My cat won't actually eat unless she's 'hunted' something first. Even if it's just playing 'fetch' with her favourite sparkly furry ball. Yes, I did say 'fetch'. I used to throw a ball for her to run after, and then she started bringing it back for me to throw again. It's great fun.

My semi feral rescued kitty caught a bunny this morning on our walk. I know he had a blast but it makes me SO SAD.😢

(Long comment alert): I need advice. But I don't know how to be brief. Sorry in advance. You might like the little story though 🙂 This is the first time I've had pets my whole life. No one in my family has ever had one either and I don't have anyone to get any kind of guidance from. One particular one is that my (around 15 I think) cat who was a stray and came to my house and refused to leave and thus helped me conquer my life long phobia of cats (all animals I think), gave birth to a beautiful cute little kitten (the other one was dead when I arrived at home and it didn't look as developed as the alive one) Now, I didn't know she was pregnant. She's mostly asleep and when she isn't, she's playing outside in our yard. When I see her it's usually when she's lying down. So I almost never see her walk. The only thing that made me suspicious was the fact that when I picked her up, I felt something on her stomach area and then I asked myself "are those nipples?) She never sleeps on her back anymore, so it's been a while since I saw her stomach. So I was in denial for a week, because my mom's already mad at me for not giving her to someone to keep because she doesn't want her in the house (since no one around them had any pets, they're very defensive and find them a danger to their health? It's no use arguing with them, honestly) So I was just coming to terms with the fact that she might be pregnant and being the dummy that I am and not really paying attention to many things I probably hear, I didn't know they can give birth as soon as 60 days. So I thought since I'd just noticed her nipples, she's just gotten pregnant and I have "a few months" to fully prepare myself and my family (I'm also very busy and struggling with my mental health, etc. just basically I'm mostly okay because I learned to not think much about stuff. It could easily overwhelm me. Around 5 days ago, I arrived home to find my cat had opened my drawer and sitting on top of my clothes. I started laughing out loud, in disbelief that she's outdone herself in messing with my room when I looked over and saw something black and white kinda moving around. When I realized it was her kitten my jaw fell on the floor. I was in shock for a few minutes. Then I immediately started talking to her, petting her, apologizing to her for not knowing she was in labor. My poor baby had gotten so weak and later I noticed the dead kitten behind her on the bottom of the closet. I immediately brought her food that could give her some strength and did as much as I could to create a better resting environment for both of them on top of my clothes. Now, she stayed there for 3 days I think. Mostly glued to her kitten of course. She would get overwhelmed too and when her baby squeeled a lot, she would roar ar him which was the cutest thing to watch. But she is such a good caring mom, even though she's very impatient, demanding and dramatic😅 But later she suddenly got aggitated when the kitten wouldn't stop squealing. She started licking and cleaning her all over. Then did the biting thing which freaked me out. I thought she was about to eat her right then. But after a few minutes of doing that, she picked her up and took her to the next bedroom and hid her under the bed. Then he stopped squealing so much but not completely. Every time she leaves his side to take a walk and relax, her kitten starts squealing dramatically as if to complain why she wasn't there and she instantly roars at him in return. I love this interaction so much, I try my best to be there when it happens. I hope it's not a bad interaction though. Because I don't know much about cats, obviously 😅 I really want to take them back to my bedroom before my parents come back and notice. But I can't reach the kitten. If I'm ever going to actually pick it up, I need someone to help me move the bed and I'm really worried it would stress my cat and maybe her baby too. But it's not a great place to be and I can't see them and notice if something's wrong and I can't help my cat when she's overwhelmed. I'm really nervous about them. I read somewhere that cats could sometimes make bad decisions so if you realize that, you should interfere. I don't know how accurate that is. So, should I actually go through with my idea and try to pick the kitten up and show my cat a better and safer place for them to be in or should I just leave it? Which is not a great idea because my mom IS going to freak. 😑 Hopefully someone can take the time to read this and give me advice on what to do.

My cats are older. Youngest one will be 5. Is it acceptable to leave their toys strewn about? I'm genuinely curious

My 5 month old plays alot I always play with him throughout the day and especially before bed . Is it possible I'm playing to much with him a few nights now he comes to sleep at the headboard if my arm is exposed he attacks my arm and just recently drew blood ? I left the room 10 minutes came back in and his eyes were still dilated in hunting mode ? He is teething can that be why?

Ahhh I got it! That's why they're known for "knocking s#!t over". To them its hunting. When its a glass vase thats where it difficult not to break out the spray bottle.

And please please please DON’T use your hands to ‘play’ with them! This encourages “aggressive” behavior as they get bigger!

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to read the cat food calories on the cans and wet treats my cat loves. Kilograms to calories I'm confused .I just want to know how many calories I'm giving my cat so she won't get fat. Is there a chart you can provide for caloric reading? Or a website I can visit and show me how to read Cat calories to human calories? Thank you.
