Darker day than friday a little snow and the course is 4 seconds slower. That wont bother Beat. Fridays race was only a second behind the best time in 97 the course now is easily 200 feet longer.

I’ve skied all my life, taught skiing in Canada, USA and Austria, great way to spend my 20’s. I skied the Hannenkam trail. Even as an experience skier it was an adventure. I can’t imaging skiing it at those speeds. These athletes are completely exceptional.

In the mid 70’s I taught in St Johann which is almost a sister town to Kitzbuhel. My first winter working there was very little snow. Kitzbuhel had the army by the hundreds trucking in snow and spreading it on the trail.

You never know until. An individual's achievements or the future of Alpine skiing or the future of all sport. When the babes run away turn out the lights.

Did I hear that spectators threw snowballs at racers. Criminal.

That was a story from 60 years ago, on the road from Steilhang to the top of Alte Schnitzel sp. Only at the Swiss

Wait, what!? $95,000 for winning the Hannenkahm? That’s as anemic as a $1400 stimulus check! Hey Audi, Redbull and the rest of you multi-nationals sponsoring this event, you’re gonna have to do ALOT better than that. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves!
