The Darkness are a British rock band from Lowestoft, Suffolk, formed in 2000 by brothers Justin (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Dan Hawkins (guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Pullen (bass, backing vocals) and Ed Graham. (drums, percussion). The group almost single-handedly managed the incredible - to revive the completely unfashionable at that time sound of classic hard rock and glam rock of the 70s for a generation that was completely unaware that it needed it. Powerful, confident guitar riffs, sweeping, carefree solos, an impeccable rhythm section, a huge dose of humor and, of course, Justin's incredible vocals have become the hallmark of The Darkness.
In 2006, the group broke up, the Hawkins brothers took up separate projects. However, they achieved less success, and in 2011, Justin and Dan officially announced the revival of The Darkness.
