Beautiful knife!

Great video and thanks for the close ups. The chamfers and the hidden tang are nice touches. If I were not already getting an Isham Abtruse which is a front flipper, I would get one.

Instantly fell for this design. Haven't been following Kizer (thought I do own one...the name of which I'm forgetting) the last couple years...glad to see this video. I'll be picking one up for sure.

Just want to say comment on something you pointed out. This knife is blade heavy. Isham typically tends to design knives for choking up for comfortable control,and so this balance point is actually more forward than you think. It balances perfectly under the pivot.

I’ve got the all black version, mine has a hard detent which makes it really hard to flip. I use the middle finger flick which is fine for me.

Hopefully it breaks in a bit more for you.

Well approaching February has anyone heard anything for release date on this Megatherium? still not finding anything online as of yet. Great vid, really looking forward to playing with one of these, only gripe is I don't care for the aesthetics of Kizer's swirly ornate pivot hardware. Wish they would of left it off this one...
@gonshocks7 жыл бұрын
We're into May now with no Megatherium sightings. Any idea when they might be released??

I have always been a fan of Kizer. My only concern is that their prices keep creeping up and up. I see how this knife has a lot of milling and has carbon fiber bolsters but still, for Chinese made, I would like to see it less expensive. After all, isn't that why most of us go to Kizer? For the great value?
@tantofan64817 жыл бұрын
I don't like how the gap between bolster and frame lock would collect debris and possibly affect operation. Which is why I'm not a big fan of liner locks in general. Cool style though.

Handsome looking knife for sure. A lot of bang for the buck.

ESB- I really like this new Isham/Kizer collab. I agree with you on Kizer stepping it up.They do seem to keep adapting. My biggest problem has been a weak detent. This design is hot.
@aedriqwert24567 жыл бұрын
MrGeerbear probably tweaking the lockbar would fix that
@ilikeknives77747 жыл бұрын
Most interesting design Kizer has had in a long time. I have several Kizer knives from a couple years ago when they first started to sell in the US, but It seemed like everything they made for the last year all looked somewhat the same. Glad to see something new and more aggressive looking. I love the knife.

I am shocked they got the price so low.

looks like an awesome knife but it's so wide that I can't imagine carrying it to often. that second kizer design looks way more up my alley.

Love the knife reviews, however I'm a lefty and unfortunately in the pocket clip knife world 3/4 of what's out there does not have a reversible clip I realize you feature high end knives in your reviews and since lefties are few and far between I'm S.O.L. It would be cool if knife makers would think about us lefties more often.
@EpicSnuggleBunny6 жыл бұрын
Yah, it's a tough call to make knives for lefties. Over the years a few companies like Spyderco have tried to make lefty specific knives, but all were ultimately discontinued for lack of sales. The lefties are referred to as the 'small vocal minority' because they make a lot of noise about sales, but ultimately don't end up being much in terms of sales. Best of luck in your continuous hunt!

After having looked at Elijah's drawings on Instagram, I have to say that I personally find the Theta more appealing.
