The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) had the pleasure of collaborating with music Legends Dr K.J. Yesudas and Dr S.P. Balasubrahmanyam when they performed in Singapore for the Voice of Legends concert in July 2019.
GB Srithar, STB’s Regional Director, India, Middle East and South Asia sat down for a conversation with the legendary musicians. Artistes talk about their experiences of visiting and performing in Singapore over the past years and their passion for music. Having sung together “Kaattu Kuyilin Manasukkuley”, a song about friendship and celebrations, they reminisced about their own friendship and having worked together for many years.

Great legends.. See how have great respect between them. And how they r speaking.. Should learn Frm them. I am huge fan u both Sir from karnataka. Ur contribution fr kannada industry also much..especially, SPB sir has already accepted as adopted son fr karnataka fr his singing. Fr all seniors superstars our kannada actors 90% songs are sung by SPB sir only. Where as yesudas Sir has sung many songs since 70s only kannada. Those are hits. Great respect fr 2 legends 🙏🙏

Legends of bharat and proud of kerala and tamil naidu and south as well as indian film industry , one is gods own voice i.e kj yesudas and 2nd is gods giving voice i.e sp balasubramaniam ।

Absolutely blessed.... Two of the greatest musicians of our times, sharing their thoughts together. The real interview (about music ) starts at 19.00, up to that time, it is about Singapore and their experiences. Such a treat to watch. What a beautiful interview where both show their love for each other. What Humility shown by SPB Sir has for Dasettan Sir. It would be wonderful if both are bestowed with Bharat Ratna. As rightly said, Dasettan Sir looks more a Rishi nowadays. We trruly are blessed to be born in this era of Greats like both Dassettan Sir and SPB Sir.

Thank you for posting this interview - an insightful, informative and sometimes witty conversation with the Legends.. only complaint is that it's too short..we can listen to them talk for as long as we can listen to them sing..
