People who have had NDE said they see their family members not as old people but as they were when they were young. Maybe that is true and when we pass on no longer have to see our old looking bodies, but our younger how we remember ourselves.

I understand what DeNiro is saying at 0:34. When you reach a certain age, young people don't seem to even see you when you're in the same room. They act like you're not even there, like you don't matter at all, although you're a person too. You'll see what I mean, in time. But don't get me wrong--I feel very lucky to have lived long enough to be "old." :)

At ate 63 I can attest that getting older does indeed suck. Despite that fact I am plague with chronic problems and discomfort, I can still do many of the things I did when I was younger but it takes a lot more effort. A couple of years ago I hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back again in one day, this summer I plan on going on a marathon bicycle ride to Columbus Ohio from Cincinnati. I have some other things on my bucket list I will do before I run out of time. If you're young and in good health, cherish that. Physical youth is very fleeting.

Now you put me in a hard spot. Now I want to say it is so, Due to my spiteful side. But my jiminy cricket inside of me wants to tell you that things change and if you're willing to change you'll do just fine. Once a purpose has been lost we find ourselves a new one to keep going. ;) I'm still searching however and most of my pain is due to the fact that I want to learn stuff that requires a young and healthy body, for at least a couple of lifetimes... Where's a lazarus pit when you need one! XD
@FlashySenap
@FlashySenap 7 жыл бұрын
Well some things in life changes for you weather you want it or not. But as you struggle against the change you often end up in a state where you aren't really happy as it can never really be the same, but you keep holding on. For some it's fairly easy to adapt, for others it takes some time and for a few it's not gonna happen... Bad explaination perhaps can't find a better way for the moment. But If you take me for an example. I loved my life as a young adult. Much freedom, friends I could hang out with a lot and then there was the parties and the effortless training I could endure. But as I get older my friends settles down, having kids and parties as well as the good old hangout with them is far and few, leaving me more alone than everas I have yet been able to find a companion myself and in my age (even if I'm only 30,) it's not a lot harder to find both new friends and a potential mate. A lot more of my time is spent on trying to get a job or working (well it's really education but still,) leaving less time for training. I'm also more vulnerable to injuries and I also have lost endurance, flexibility. both due to age as old injuries starts to remind themselves a lot more and also because I can't get myself to train as much as I once did. didn't mean to paint such a detailed story, but yea... It's a personal example where someone are less willing to change and cling on to try and keep doing same old.

Absolutely wonderful interview, and absolutely awesome interviewer!👍👍. She is a true professional who is very relaxed, not anxious like most so-called journalists, who constantly cut the subjects off, so that they can pretend they are being insightful, when they are really just missing golden opportunities. She understands pacing and waits for the lull that occurs after the subjects have completed their thoughts, and then she calmly proceeds. Very, very good interviewer. She needs to teach some of these veteran journalists, because this is how it is done. You go girl!🤗.

I find these interviews quite enjoyable. So much so, that the interview is over before I realize it -- I mean, the time goes by quickly and I find myself wanting more, which is quite rare for a KZfaq video to be so compelling and entertaining. And it's not just this one. It's all of your interviews. Plus, you have a soft sort of way with the guests which is appealing; a respectful approach; you engage them, asking them relevant questions and allow them to answer. Too many others do all the talking or seem to want to monopolize the interview rather than allow the guests to take center stage. In your videos you don't make these mistakes and the result is a truly first-class production that's worth our time/ energy to watch.

Yeah its something everyone has to go through and experience regardless of gender, race, social status, wealth etc. It's after about 30 that you begin to realise your own mortality and that you're no longer young and that's when time really begins to speed up. It seems like new years comes around with the blink of an eye for me now. The older you get and the more things change e.g. people, society, culture, the more you cling onto the past and this is why allot of people end up getting depressed and or more and more grumpy the older they get.

I'm sorry but if you feel old and grumpy merely after 30 then that's on you lol. I enjoy getting older. I get excited each birthday that I am doing well. This is the best time of my life and I don't feel like my life went by fast so far. Of course I am only 62. But I feel pretty healthy and have much more peace of mind that I had in previous decades.

Agree about having much more peace of mind. Health concerns are for real as our bodies, especially our internal organs, do continue to age...no matter if we take optimal care of ourselves. Hopefully we still have a couple decades of good healthy, fun life left yet!! I am your age.

Lass 11 in many ways they feel isolated, even when they were decades younger. How much more when they've gotten older? Especially actors who aren't as successful as them, most aging actors who aren't working as much are called "washed up" and "has beens". You kind of understand why Gene Hackman took a break and went into civilian life somewhere in the Midwest, far away from the business

Ill be honest. Unless there is an afterlife where we get to be young again, id rather not be born at all. What you don't know, you don't miss. The worst part is your children having to watch you get old and suffer. Having to leave your loved ones behind. And being too sick to be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. I know this is depressing but it makes me angry that life has to be this way.

Eating just until you are full and being kind to people. Age is just a number. Some people die at birth or die in a car crash at 18. Life is too short. Enjoy every moment. Don't be lonely get a dog. Being older is a gift not everyone is that lucky. These two men have been extremely lucky, they have looks, money and they are still alive!!!!

The trick of time is that you don't notice when it passes so quick at present but once you turn back and look at least one day behind you would realize how quickly this day passed, the same relating to years, you live and it seems like 360 days are lasting soooo long but when you turn your head back and look at this year you would realize that in reality the time is passing super quickly.

Thankyou gentlemen for your insights and honesty. I will tell you why ageing isnt a drag ! One: because it is with age, one really starts working it out. Two: Your values and friendships and priorities become the forefront and what's truth, instead of all that which is false, petty, or out of reach or unrealistic. Three: All those age beauty spots and character lines and silver linings becoming more evident, is REALLY beautiful and perfectly natural and REAL. Four: You suddenly find you have TIME for your own thought processes and true persona and identity because all the desires for seeking some else's approval, or someone else seeking yours, diminishes, because that simply doesn't GEL in the way it may do when you STILL HAD to TRY, so life isnt as "hard". Five: You realise that it is TIME which is paramount, which invariably leads to one respecting your own, and others TIME, which is a terrific thing. Six. You become closer to God, quite naturally, this happens with age and wisdom which is the most wonderful and gracious happening, when it is happening. Seven. You let go of adrenaline junkie, tyre kicking and vexations because one is able to SPOT these things and thereby avoid heaps heaps more easily. Eight. You no longer take things as given, entitled or granted, which is sheer brilliance in itself AND, nine, with age, doth the taste of wine grow fine, my beautiful friends. I am aging, as are my friends and these people around me, are the people I am aging with and growing older with; AND it keeps getting better, for me personally, it just keeps getting better ! PS: Certainly not ALL, but MANY of these "artists", via their medium and WORK, have given me true consolation, JOY, education and SOLACE during trials, tribulations and dark times during my own journey thus far. And I mean this, they have given me so many multifaceted and positive " things ", that they can never, ever truly understand, how much I love and appreciate them, just for their BEING ! I cannot express this enough. Jamie Lee Curtis, Oh God I love you. Thankyou. These people have helped me via their inspirations and abilities, which I never, ever had when the "girl interrupted" stuff began. I MISS MY DAD SO MUCH. I am shattered and gutted he is gone. He was a hard working, innocent and a very strict " mick", yet was still VERY appreciative of ARTS, and instilled in those who truly knew him, three main important things: GETTING THE JOB DONE. DO THE CRIME, DO THE TIME And ; FACING THE MUSIC. I view this as our common ground. Ox. Ox. Mc.

My grandmother, who passed away at 98 and a half year old, used to say that old age was a "f*cking b*tch" ! And would complete: " You're going to know what I mean if you are lucky enough to get there"!She was a tower!!! She lived through two world wars, the advent of the car, the telephone, the airplane, radio, television...Always positive!When we would complain about something she would say: " you don't know how hard is it to wake up early in the morning, having to put wood in the stove and make a fire, in order to cook a meal !" She was always so grateful for having an electric/gas stove in the kitchen! And always mesmerized with its buttons! Would say : " By a push of a button...and there's fire! " ( like someone would refer to a miracle!)Little simple things, like matches, were subject of her admiration and gratitude!Wise woman! A privilege to have known you and have had you as my bastion!Cheers!
