'Return of the Sentinel' from the debut album by KK's Priest, 'Sermons of the Sinner'. Order now: kkspriest.lnk.to/album
KK’s Priest - the new band formed by KK Downing, the founder of Judas Priest. New album out now.
-----
KK’s Priest - ‘Sermons of the Sinner’ - 10 new songs available on CD disc, single disc vinyl with bonus CD album, digital download and via streaming - is a musical statement that KK Downing's heavy metal ride is far from over after his extended hiatus. “The whole concept is the fact that I continue proudly to be who I am and what I am and do what I do,” declares Downing. “It's been nearly 10 years. I'm back making music.” Downing assembled former Judas Priest singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, Hostile guitarist A.J. Mills, Voodoo Six bassist Tony Newton, and DeathRiders/Cage drummer Sean Elg to create Sermons Of The Sinner.
Downing says the word “sinner” in the album title refers to his famous solo in that classic song of the same name, noting that fans are always hoping for new music to sound like the Judas Priest classics. KK’s Priest's new material is most certainly an homage. They have unleashed an album with a modern sound that hearkens back to what fans have always loved about Downing and his music and which still sounds fresh. The high speed album opener “Hellfire Thunderbolt” offers a fictitious take on how metal arrived before the masses were ready for it. Rousing rockers like “Raise Your Fists” and “Wild And Free” revel in the passion and excess that metal fans embrace. The guitar interplay is intense and inspiring, and the band is firing on all cylinders.

RETURN OF THE SENTINEL
Return into desecration
He smells death on the wind
Here to fight for the nation
The saviour of all mankind
Time to make ready his weapons of glory
Hope our children will tell the story
We may never see again the return of the Sentinel
He pledges death to avenge us
The tyrants they’ll go to hell
Weapons of black steel protect us
Feel the wrath of the Sentinel
Time to make ready his weapons of glory
Hope our children will tell the story
We may never see again the return of the Sentinel
Into the battle he storms on without fear
Hell waits for no one
The enemy’s death is near
I’ll ride like the wind avenge all those who sinned
There will be peace on earth forever more
I’ve been summoned and I hear you call
You are safe I’ll protect you all
Now I’m here to defend and stay
They’re never gonna take my soul away
Sentinel ..... Repeat
The Sentinel in his glory
But no longer in his prime
Win or lose this battle
He stood the test of time
The challengers shriek their fury
Their weapons glint in the sun
With fear he’s outnumbered
It’s time to stand or run
Soon there’s blood and thunder
The Sentinel strikes fast
But then the battle turned against him
It was to be his last
I’ll ride like the wind avenge all those who sinned
There will be peace on earth forever more
Now he lays there dying
His scabbard laid to rest
The victors gloat their glory
He failed the final test
With one last breath
he cried out loud
Your place awaits in hell
Beware I’ll be right behind you
All fear the Sentinel
END

People need to stop with the Judas Priest comparisons...KK's Priest sounds like KK's Priest, not Judas Priest...you have talented musicians coming together, and from a thought and an idea they formed a band, they made music that is appreciated and will be remembered...stop whining and crying, this is KK's Priest...if you don't like it, don't listen to it...all hail...

How can anybody be disappointed in this from the greatest heavy metal band that ever walked the planet it's a 58 year old American man I've always loved Judas Priest and this is proof after 50 years that nobody can shine their shoes they are the Tom Brady of heavy metal 50 years the only ones can come close is iron Maiden and kiss but it's also the class of music when his Judas Priest really ever let you down in 50 years ? We don't need a Rock and roll Hall of Fame to prove how great somebody is the greatness of what they are are within our hearts and our memories and the sad part of life is that when you die your ears no longer work and in which you can no longer enjoy these wonderful sounds that we were given in our lifetime in our generation thank you Judas Priest for a great 50 years and God bless all these be safe and we couldn't have asked for more !!

Great work I love the evolution of KK. Late 70’s I saw priest standing room only close to the stage at the Palladium in New York City. KK threw his guitar pic into the audience. I looked down it was right by my foot. I quietly picked it up I still have it to this day. Light blue plastic with a circle on one side with the word thin written in the center and on the other side a circle with the word HERCO surrounded by an oval circle inside that circle.

For me I'd probably put Helloween above it, but this is a very close second. This song is definitely song of the year, tho! I don't trust people who didn't cream themselves at that riff 1:55

Ripper Owens' vocal range is quite impressive. Thank you KK's Priest for the musical journey we have been waiting for. Congratulations to all. Now let's take this on tour.

I love how "The Sentinel" soundtrack gets a tribute song! I mean it's essentially a song about a song. It can't get more badass than that!

You must not have been listening to the right bands if this is the band that saved you from not listening to metal again.

KK just kept getting better , down through the years... That cannot be said about many Rock Stars... They get complacent.

Don't know why people think they have to choose between the 2 Priest. I'm a fan of both . I'm extremely loving this album. I think K.K. Really put it out there on this album. I'm happy for both the Priest even though Judas's Journey is coming to an end but after half a decade they've seen and accomplished more than most bands ever dream of. Both seem to really love and care for their fans and realize it's about their fans love and support that has made them so enduringly successful and loved. In the End that's all that really matters .

KK, Glenn and Rob are Priest because they composed and played together for 40 years. And we are blessed to have known such talented and prolific musicians. It is impossible for me to choose because i have loved them all for so long.
