To me, whenever I'm attacking now, at any TH, if I 3 star my usual reaction is "thank f**k I didn't miss" or something like that rather than any kind of celebration. The game isn't as fun when 3 stars is the expectation not an achievement.

I think that the hero equipmens are playing a huge role into this. As a th13 I didnt got any new offensive capacity besides the hero equipment, and with this the attacks are much more easier

Yes hero equipment did make the game alot easier. Not only making the hero stronger when attacking, but also heros defending are weaker because their base stats got nerfed.

One way to make the defense stronger is to have one equipment per hero available in defense, that it will auto-activate like in attacks.

Good Idea! Or just increase the heros health and damage to pre equipment heros, in defenses. The queen in defense deals way less dps than when attacking.

@@Crimson-992 lmao, the meta is already so easy. Spam rootriders or lavaloons while you overgrowth a third of the base. Its like attacking a th14 base while having a th16 troops. The heroes are not affected by the overgrowth, so they are the best defense right now. Giving them 1 equipment in defense would give the game more of a thinking attack rather than this spamming troops while the key defenses are locked down with overgrowth.

Idont think that a difficulty slider would be a good idea. COC esports would be in a awkward position. Other Esports don't change the difficulty of the game for the Pro scene, its the skill level of the players that sets them apart. Balancing the game is the safer play here. Not too difficult like TH15 but not this easy like TH 16.

it's really not that much harder with the old equipment. they nerfed a bunch of defenses, the new scatter shot level does less DPS than the max th15 one used to, for example. and they gave offense extra levels. even if root riders and non-old equipment were removed from the game, the hit rate would still be pretty high

They can just give them their default equipment stats back to their base. And warden its life aura around the statue. Queen damage increase by 100+ dps should do good extra damage

The offense became more powerful because of the new pets and all the hero equipment. Defense hardly improved with the merged defenses. Giant gauntlet and spirit fox need to be heavily nerfed. There should be somewhat of a discussion as to which pets or equipment is best, and right now there is none.

@Clash with Eric I think that in Townhall 15 main defences were rage Tower which had a 6 tile radius and almost 2x damage and monolith. So if supercell will increase the power of rage Tower and Monolith it can be very effective. Please reply

Yeah NAVI are right and all other pros "its about speed not about fun" like this war all attacks were roots and valks its impressive how fast they can 3 star but its boring seeing same attack pattern 10 times supercell needs to nerf roots valks and revert drags or buff rage tower upto 50% dmg and speed maybe bring back inferno stops healing also maybe reduce/nerf hero equipment and also the costs for upgrading it navi and pro players can max out everything in few hours but the f2p players would appreciate everything else

Rage tower is on 60% dmg boost while previously is 80% if you make it to 50% it becomes a nerf instead😂, while for root valk, valk has never been a thing before root rider even the one that plays them are absolute minority tho can't see the chance valk got nerfed

Or add prototype defences like Boom beach, they can be temporarily unlocked like super troops and make them cost dark elixer + some valuable resources like 50 purple ores so that people who are pushing in legends and pro-scene can build those, and casual players who play for fun can skip those!

I really like like the idea of a pro mode someone in the Twitch chat called it. I don't think the casual player minds this meta so much, it's the pros and folks watching the pro matches. Also if they do it and regular players choose that option for war spins they could give extra equipment loot which would help with that issue as well

i can't name one video game that does this, and i think it's for good reason. slightly modified rulesets is one thing (in counter strike, pro rounds used to be shorter than regular matchmaking rounds, but even that they standardized), but changing how the game behaves is another. pros should be the best players in the world at the game, not the best players in the world at a slightly different game. also, clash has open qualifiers, and the experience for a casual player giving open qualifiers a shot would be terrible if the game was much harder

it was fun to watch players doing queen charges and getting failed and how they recover from it but currently almost 8 out of 10 its just root riders and valk. There is nothing wrong in using this strategy but its just not fun to watch. nerfing is would be good but along with not just nerfing TO Organizers should add some rules like only 1 root rider attack per clan per war or different strategy in all 5 attacks something like that. or ban on heroes Equipment...

I'm of the opinion that Th16 needs to be harder. Make Th15 and below easier if you have to, but Th16 is end game and should be difficult.

What end game? there is th17 on its way. If you want harder top bases ask for a new league and ask coc to add new defense for every player reaching the highest league that way every serious and pro players will get harder base and casual player will be able to play casual. Just because competitive players comment and spam awful in every video it's not justice for casual players. For shit sake when i was in college i didn't have the leisure and time to plan and watch tutorial and videos to learn each attack, just want to reach max and spam some attack and enjoy is what i need five minutes for two attack. Why do i need to waste hours for every attack

they're already gonna add new levels to the Eagle and to the monolith, then in a future update new levels to the archer towers and cannons is inevitable... thats more than enough in my opinion...the only reason why we have this meta is because they are slow rolling out new levels for defences in different stages rather than all at once....this type of meta is only gonna be temporary, its not a big deal and at least its something new

What they could do is just make the new TH lvl defenses have a sort of power spike for being max so its more difficult than the older THs since pros will always be in higher THs along with people who take the game semi serious

It's the problem of new hero equipment. Giant gauntlet works basically same as blizzard or super archers, it wipes out an entire area easily. It not the problem of root rider. Spam yetis, super dragons, etc. are gonna work as well.

Root riders are strong tho. You don't need to struggle like other ground attacks with walls which gives RR some advantage over attacks. Also RR has more hp than pekka with lower housing space

Honestly they should just add like 1-2% reflective damage to TH16 walls so every time RRs trample one they get 145-290 damage each (14500 being a TH16 wall's max HP)

Supercell should just keep wars how they are for casual players and add a "prowar" function as an option for people who wanna make it more difficult. Like as an option before a war is started that increases the difficulty for more experienced players that limits the troops and spells or a increased defensive damage.

If they will do this difficulty slider you're talking about,they should make the legend league like a "ranked" mode and every threshold of trophy pushes the slider a bit also...their should be competitivity in regular coc also not only in the pro scene...i am in a master clan in cwl as a th15 and i am 3 staring a lot of th16s maxed or mearly maxed and i don't think that should be the case and that th16 should be the end game where the game gets to it's hardest

I would prefer not to have a difficulty slider. That would still make pushing legend league pointless, still constantly taking like -280+ on defense at 5500 trophies, which is not the sign of a healthy meta. I think a slight buff in defense dps plus I think they should revert the rage tower change back to th15 and see where things are. I enjoyed the th15 meta. It was incredibly challenging but every 3 star attack in war/LL was earned and was so much more rewarding when you got them.

*I recently saw a reddit post, in which the redditor said something I totally agreed with. I'll summarize:* Clash of Clans, as a mobile game, has a VERY HIGH percentage of casual players. Players who just get online for few minutes everyday for FUN. Making the whole game harder just for the sake of interesting E sports will hurt the casuals real bad. It seems thats what happened in TH15 period. So the Redditor wanted to leave the TH16 as it is. As for the competitive plays, they can create a situation where they can ban a troops or spell or a combo. That's how it is in Brawl Stars if I recall and it was called "Power League". It was meant purely for competitiveness. A same type of competitive mode can be created for COC as well to balance causals and pros.

When they released th16 and nerfed everything claiming it was too hard for even pro players, is when i knew they were gonna make the game too easy. Th15 being as hard as it was back then was perfect for the competitive scene. They need to make th16 with the same amount of difficulty. 3 starring bases for pros should be tough and very calculated. This is a strategic game afterall.....

Root riders aren't op they can die easily if you have a good base design ngl Having a Maxed healing Tome and Eternal tome helps them stay alive though Edit: imo they should reverse the nerfs they did to the th15 before the update and add a third scattershot

Supercell should release the new Archer tower, new canon, new monolith, new eagle level ASAP .And just bring back the old inferno tower stats where you can't heal your troops through the inferno tower beams . Then the game will be perfectly balanced.

Th15 is good..i get 3 star many times....i got defence also many times...but..this time it's broken no matter how much you copy cwl base its always 3 by spamming rooot rider..base building is die...base building is also part of coc....if you are playing from 2015 you know that base building is most fun part of coc also
