As a long time listener of the pod, this episode had all the hits: Windy looking/sounding exhausted, Bontemps and Windy going at it for like 50% of the pod, McMahon breaking the tension every minute with a salient and funny point.

The more likely reason is that Klay wants to win a ring so that he can have that over the Warriors . He knows that will not happen with the Lakers but that it has a reasonable prospect with the Mavericks

It could happen with the Lakers (small chances and everything need to go their way) but also i think he chose Dallas bc its just a better front office, i could see Lakers trading Klay after 1 season or 1 and a half

It’s a bit rich that PG moans about the clippers offer to him when they traded their future for the guy just so he can come home to LA and play with his buddy Kawhi. And then of course they let the clippers down virtually every season he was there. Injuries aren’t his fault and the rest of the roster isn’t his fault and he is a good dude but don’t moan about the clippers after all they tried to do. He got paid by a team that will be a true contender. It’s a great situation. Find the positives and move on.

He didn't moan. He explained why he left. 2 years 60 million, 3 years 150 right after a good season upping his value. What do you want him to say "I love the clippers, they offered me everything I wanted". They didn't, Philly did.

Not sure it will work out but i give credit to the Clippers management that they chose to let PG go rather than get into the second apron. It would have been very easy for them to persuade Ballmer to assuage PG especially with the new arena. PG wins as he gets a max and only has to be the third option. He should have a good year if only because he does not miss the shots that Tobias Harris should have made each night

Kawhi just dropped out of the Olympics. Who should replace him? Personally, I believe it should be a no brainer and Jaylen Brown. Same position as well and a two player who can defend. Others to consider Bridges, Banchero, Brunson, PG13, Aaron Gordon, Green, Derozan, Butler.

@@razkable -- I don't care how much credit Green gets for being a part of the dynasty. He is the cause of its downfall also. He is a terrible shooter and any line up with him and another non-shooter makes it difficult for Curry. Looney is a non-shooter and can't play in any line up with Kuminga or Draymond Green. Buddy Hield goes to every new team with the hope of being the answer. He ends up being sent to the bench by every single new team he joins. Wiggins hasn't been himself in two years. He was even worse than T'Wolves Wiggins last year. GP2 hasn't been healthy since 2022 and he wasn't even that healthy then. Pods is a 2nd year player but he defers too much. I wouldn't blame him with people like Draymond on the team. He probably doesn't want to upset the "core". Kuminga is a dilemma. He should be used to trade for a star. The Warriors fear losing him because he may be a star. The problem is that he would be a star in a way that doesn't mesh with the way they currently play. Good Luck Warriors but the season doesn't look promising. Trade Draymond and all that bad karma would go away. Chemistry will never be good with that troll / bully on the team.
