Lauren definitely won. The challenge was to make a meal using $1 store ingredients. They only had 3 min to shop and 20 min to cook so you had some tough guidelines as it was. So yeah Lauren got the win from this according to Brian. BUT if we want to be technical, Brian is the one who cheated lol. He told Lauren to make a dessert in the first place. Guess he knew what he wanted 🤣🤣🤣

Soggy pasta elbows and cavity chocolate drizzled popcorn don't mix. If it was a canoli Lauren would have won. When your two dishes clash you lose coming from 10 years experience!!! Popcorn and soggy pasta elbows is a epic failure. Not to mention chocolate takes the buttery goodness away from the popcorn. Ethan's single dish is more consistent and balanced and doesn't have any compromising flavors going against it. So he wins by a longshot in my opinion.

I agree adding a dish to cover for your failure on the main course is cheating like hitting the puck twice in the hockey challenge. And adding something that clashes with the main course makes it worse.

I will say Lauren didn't cheat, but lauren's pasta was kind of...not looking good (to me) and it's smart how she put dessert and a soda. And for Ethan, I like his presentation and creativity. But it would be much better if he put a drink at least. But I like both of his food. I actually think Lauren won But u both did really really wholesome and good job u both

Technically, the dessert isn't part of the meal. It's its own thing all together, even though it is commonly eaten after a supper like meal. It was evident That Ethan's actual plate was better. He deserved that dub.
