I have been living with the Klim Adventure GoreTex motorcycle gloves for over two years now and have gotten to know them pretty well. So in this video I thought I'd tell you what I think of them.

After 20+ years working as a motorcycle courier I found that no gloves work for a long time, the best thing I have found is something like Oxford super muffs, they fit on the handlebars and cover the controls, they can be a bit bulky and awkward to begin with but once you get used to them they work great. They can be easily fitted and when not needed just strapped to your luggage, along with heated grips they keep your hands warm as they sop your gloves getting wet and also block the wind so no need for thick gloves, Barkbusters make a similar product that are not as bulky but I have never tried them, BBZ is the name of the Barkbusters, they fit onto the hand guards. They are not for everyone but do work.

Agreed... handlebar muffs only solution to stop hands becoming wet and cold..

For two years i am using the Klim Krios Pro helmet. It is a great helmet. I have had over 40 years around 15 helmets. This Klim is the best by far. But i do not like other Klim products. When you ride all year around Klim clothing is not ok. Rukka has the best motorcycle products by far. And for gloves i use Gerbing's heated gloves. Nothing can beat the gloves from Gerbing. Not only that they are warm but also because of the high quality of the materials used. I have been riding 45 years almost every day.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. They're clumsy and a pain to put on and take off, but PVC coated nylon glove covers, tucked inside your jacket sleeves (assuming your jacket sleeves are completely waterproof - hello PVC rainsuit), will keep your hands completely dry. In pouring rain, all day long. An extra raingear layer on top is a real pain in the ass, but staying truly dry all day is worth it. The only problem is heavy rain when it's hot - you'll end up just as wet from sweating under all that stuff. Now boots, my Alpinestars Web Gore Tex have kept my feet dry all day in heavy rain.

Drying any leather glove on a radiator is going to be very bad for it unfortunately. They’re very much air dry only. Sucks when you’re at the end of a wet day and you have to ride again the next day, but a second pair of gloves or a glove liner of some sort, or even petrol station plastic gloves can help with that until they’re dry again. My favourite gloves are the ones from Knox, here in the UK. They have a wide range to suit different purposes, all with excellent protection as the first priority.

Keeping the leather "hydrated" from time to time is essential. So using some lether care is essential. On my trips i do always carry a small bottle of ballistol oil. It was developed ages ago for the military to lubricate guns, take care of leather etc. Can be used for almost everything. However it smells

Try the Icon Super Duty 2. Goat skin palm for sliding on asphalt and padding for hitting a rock. On cold days, i use a pair of thinsulate gloves underneath. Rainy days of course mean thin rubber gloves to stay dry underneath to stay dry. Water always seems to leak down my arm into the glove.

Been riding big bikes since 1978, and have the simple experience that no membrane - Gore-Tex or other - can keep the water from creeping down/up the glove sleeves. The only surefire gloves to keep water out from entering the insides are the extra cuff Dainese Jerico or Revvit Taurus with an additional waterproofing cuff that restricts water flow from entering the glove insides. Same with jackets; the only total waterproof solution is to have a tall collar and an inside hood covering the vulnerable neck area from water ingress. The gripe with extra cuff gloves is that they're a complicated pain in the a** to put on - especially if your fingers are wet already.

My problem with gloves is my short fingers. Hard to find gloves that suits my hands. I think you should try Richa gloves. They are cheaper and also have GoreTex. If I´m not all wrong the GoreTex brand demands that the finished product is up to their expectations. It should keep you dry within reasonable circumstances. If it pours down all day riding you gonna get wet. It´s also important that you follow the washing instructions.

I'll never buy another klim product again after seeing how bad my carlsbad suit is. Try the Rukka gloves. They at least stand by their products.

i'm just about to buy a Badlands Pro Pants, what happened to your Carlsbad?

I have both rukka and klim gloves and they are both amazing. Also I have no idea about Carlsbad but the Kodiak suit of klim which I have is really great and still performs like new after 80.000km

@piotrwydmuch9413 belt stitching came away leaving me without la useable belt. Kneepads aren't sewn in both sides, so they move and only protect half my knee (the inside of the knee which is pretty useless) jacket had a flaw in the fabric on the pocket which klim won't warranty. I got rear ended day 5 of owning the suit. Car ran up the back of me at 80kph I was doing 30. I got knocked off the bike and ended up spending 2 days in hospital. Broken ribs bruised foot. Worst part was the carlsbad armour is so small and poorly sewn into the jacket allowing it to move meaning that it did nothing. Tenden torn off the bone and bone bruising. Shoulder required surgery. 4 months off the bike . Fabric held up really well which was a positive. The badlands pro has much larger armour like my bmw gs rally jacket and pants so I think you will be fine.

@@volvogt21oh my god, what an experience. So sorry to hear. I hope you’re doing ok now and the wreck still hasn’t stopped you riding (I had a bad one in 2011 that stopped me riding for over 10 years, as I was scared). Now I’m back on the bike since two years ago and I’m transformed into adventure riding (gentle riding, on and off road with some off road courses behind me). Klim has overall great name and I think I’ll try the pants first. I also consider a Revit Dominator 3 GTX pants to throw in the mix. I’ll try both and see what I think! Thanks again

@piotrwydmuch9413 you're welcome. Glad to hear you are back on the bike. Yes I'm the same. I prefer the gentle adventure riding too on roads with less traffic at slower speeds. You get to see more! No it didn't put me off riding. It did confirm that I need to buy the best protection possible though. I was five days in to a 4 month ride around Australia with two friends on DR650 a nice light primative bike that can be picked up solo and repaired in the remote Australian outback. I have other bikes (17) but the DR was the best choice. Make sure you have good boots too. I broke my tibia and fibula 2 years ago in the middle of nowhere in a 10kph drop. 7 hours later I was airlifted to the closest hospital 1000km away. My forma adventure boots did nothing to save me. I now ride in MX boots. (Alpine star tech 10) I am sure if I was wearing these I would have been OK. To cheer myself up after the last lot of surgery I bought an Aprilia Tuareg 660. What a bike! It feels so small and easy to ride yet will still do over 200kph and is super comfortable. It feels lighter than my DR650 which is 40kg less. I have moved away from trying to ride my big gs bikes off road because they are no fun. Too much weight to try and control.
