@@LouisWinthorpe3 Yea. It’s funny how even before the season they would always bring up the shut out game last year. That was under McDaniels. But they conveniently forget that the Carr Raiders beat the Brees Saints in 2016 and 2020. Walk on Water Brees could do no wrong for some of these fans, no matter how many interceptions he threw.

I agree with u mostly but also we played Carr the year before and he couldn't pass the 50yard line the whole game they didn't get past the 50 yard line until like 2 minutes left in the game

@@LouisWinthorpe3 Ha. Yep. And somehow they forget that Brees had 6 seasons with the saints with more interceptions than Carr’s worst season of 14. I’ve said that in the past. Nostalgia can skew memories. People tend to remember only the good and forget the bad. They had three 7-9 seasons in a row under the “great” Payton and Brees. But they give no leeway to DA who is in a transition with the team. But getting rid of the cancer MT will help in the transition.

@@LouisWinthorpe3 I went to a Raider game in Jamarcus Russell’s third and last season with the Raiders. They lost bad but I don’t remember anyone booing in the Colesium. Saints fans say they are used to winning. Do they not think that the Raider fans were used to winning? They were winners for three decades and had much more consistent success than the Saints ever had. I am sure that most of them fans were there for those glory years. But none of them were booing. But some of these Saints fans boo Carr, their best rated player on the field because they say they are used to winning. They won for 10 seasons in a 15 year Payton Brees span and now feel they are entitled.

@@pbm8264You are right about our fanbase. We are spoiled but we also don’t wanna lose. I am 18 yrs old so I didn’t start watching football until 2012 so I never got to see my saints win a Lombardi. We did have 7 winning seasons since I have been a fan but where is the Lombardi trophy that the WDN really wants to get back so bad? We haven’t won a ring or appeared in a Super Bowl since the 2009-10 season plus remember back then before the Brees-Payton era started. Remember when saints fans were disappointed and showed their disappointment of our team by wearing bags on their heads so that no one saw their faces to show that they were disgusted with the team. That’s what we were before 2006, losers were what we were. 2009 is the best thing we have all experienced and we are used to winning and not losing. We all want another ring. With Derek Carr, I think that we can win up to 12 games but we would only get all the way up to the divisional. In my opinion, Derek Carr is not the guy who can get us to the Super Bowl and win it. But, I hope that I am proven wrong nonetheless.

And before this you said it was the teams fault “Kamara didn’t produce” so Kamara can’t catch strays too? He was way more unproductive and a liability to the teams success. Sure I’m a carr fan but I’m also being honest here.

They need an ACTUAL tight end. Taysom is a flex player and Juwan Johnson was a receiver then converted to tight end

So Kubiak will “shadow Carr’s flaws and make him look good”? Kubiak is chomping at the bit. He has never had a QB with the arm talent of Carr. Carr had a “terrible year” last year? So with all the Saints problems early, he still finished the season 10th ranked and 1st ranked for the last 6 games. Is that “terrible?” Carr basically carried this team. Don’t Listen Winston might have won 5 games.

carr looked bad wit allat talent and the 2nd easiest schedule in tha league Carr not it he gotta show me betta fah I say he’s a good qb He missed throws and under threw receivers like crazy all season and was lack luster in tha red zone

@@Fetti100. Ugh. They finished like 13 of 16 is their last red zone appearances. And every time it seems a pass is off the mark is not the QB’s fault. In the Texans game for instance, Shaheed was running a deep option route and he turned the wrong way and right into coverage by the safety. He should have cut away from the safety. That is where Carr threw it and the ball fell harmlessly to the ground in the end zone right where Shaheed should have been. Shaheed knew he messed up. He had his head down in a towel on the bench afterwards. There was a learning process between the receivers and Carr last year. Carr likes to throw the intermediate and deep balls and many of them are option routes depending on the coverage and they need to be on the same page. But by the second half of the season they were cooking and would have went deep into the playoffs had they just won one more game earlier, like the GB game is the easiest example.

My guy, Carr ended up having a good season. He did. Starting the season bad, but putting it together and finishing strong is exactly what happened. It can be argued that no QB was playing better over the last 6 games. That's a fact. The only reason Saints didn't do better record wise was bc of how bad the OL was early in the season, along with the lack of chemistry with Carr and his WR's (not to mention the lack of play action), and one of the worst run games in the NFL. Like, bottom 3 run game from the RB's. Hill skewed the Numbers a bit, but the RB's were God awful. Tough to have successful play action of no one is afraid of the run game. None of this is Carrs fault, yet he takes the bulk of the blame from some saints fans. It makes no sense. He literally carried that offense, virtually the entire season. The run game wasn't scoring TDS and couldn't be relied on, so over the last 6 games, the offense went through Carr ......and it looked damn good. More facts. If saints went into the playoffs, they would have been a tough out for any team. The were HOT. Why? The pass game and a strong defense. It amazes me that some saints fans still refuse to acknowledge this, almost as if they don't want to admit that Carr is a very good QB.....possibly elite if he could ever get some stability from a team. Nope, they'd rather talk about how he's not Brees, and isn't the future. Well Saints doubled down on Carr, and based on how he finished last season, he could very well be putting up Brees'esque Numbers very soon.....which he's done before, so no, it wouldn't be Kubiak masking his flaws, it would be Carr playing up to his potential.
