This is just the exact steps you have to do for your check ride at North Las Vegas Airfield.
Here they are in order:
1. Turn GPS on
2. ENT - Self Test
3. ENT - UTC and location
4. ENT - Acknowledge Data base expiration
5. Roll outer knob to APT chapter
6. Roll inner knob to APT page 8
7. CRSR
8. Roll outer knob to GPS 12R
9. ENT
10. ENT - "Add to FPL 0"
11. ENT - Acknowledge
12. CRSR - Roll outer knob to SAYQOi
13. Direct To button
14. ENT
15. OBS - to suspend the GPS from cycling points until you are ready to start the approach
16. OBS - Puts GPS in Leg mode when you are ready to commence the approach
To Change GPS waypoint to IHWG or LAS
1. Roll outer knob to FPL chapter
2. Check on FPL 0 (if not roll inner knob to get to FPL 0)
3. CRSR - Outer knob to IHWG
4. Direct To button
5. ENT
6. Check NAV or GPS MODE on annunciator.
