To bad my glass on my s6 broke in 46 days after just a small drop of 2 feet on carpet. Its like they made the glass to brake or what are the gray spots on each corner for? Still works fine but 120 dollars is the cheapest in my area to have just the glass replaced. Or take my chances and order a new glass for 25 to 40 dollars and do it my self. Only $60 more if I break the lcd screen. And best of all bought the fully protective case and the Samsung case. Liked the Samsung case better because the other does not work with your finger print. So $80 dallor case still in box and now having to pay 120 to replace my glass. 2 foot fall. My Samsung cell. Dropped 20feet on concrete and fine in a otterbox defender of course. Should have just used the protective case and not worried about not being about to use my finger print. Or cut a small hole in the case like I planned

Well, the technology is moving forward - the less the wires - the better. But in any case there are usb type c to headphone jack adapters which let you use your wired headphones, so I don't think it's a big deal. Especially not "unacceptable". :) I bet in the future we won't even think twice about this feature.

S4 sucks with snapdragon 835 truly pitiful

@@YukaProductions I disagree with it moving "forward". Fewer wires isn't better in this case. Wireless uses much more power, has latency, is compressed, less stable, connecting is more of a hassle, you can't use existing wired headphones (y'know. Proper ones) without a dongle etc. And an adaptor isn't really a solution. They're flimsy, block your device from charging, add cost and are completely unnecessary. For phones I kinda get it, I hate it, but I get it. For tablets, which are huge in comparison and are often used in less mobile environments it's really hard to justify. You can always not use the audio jack if you don't want to on the S4, but you're stuck with the S6. Edit: I forgot about charging your headphones, which would sound like a step backwards to someone from 1980, yet we somehow accept that? Thanks for the reminder Bill.

@@nextlifeonearth It's a huge deal and it's totally unacceptable for me at least. I'm now buying the S4 because the S6 doesn't have the damn 3.5mm jack! I don't want to use stupid dongles and adapters. I refuse to buy products like the S6. Also I like the stylus on the S4 better. It's not that I need it much but it still can come useful in many cases. And the stylus on the s4 will have the upper hand unless I buy another stylus which I don't want to do as I don't care about it that much. Wireless headphones have existed for dozens of years. Still I don't like them and prefer cord headphones. No need to charge them or replace batteries and they are of much higher quality! The same goes for watches. Never really liked those chargeable watches. I'd rather wear a Casio or Longines or Tag Heuer or something like that. Point being: I got plenty of devices to charge or replace batteries in. The last thing I need is rechargeable poor quality (under 100 -200 bucks) ear plugs or a couple of smart watches to be floating around in my apartment. And I'm really glad that Samsung kept the 3.5mm jack on the Galaxy s10 Plus phone. That's what I'm gonna keep as the main phone for many years now and turn a blind eye to their Galaxy Fold, which is not right. Let's see what future brings but I'm already hating Samsung for trying to push all their drivel down my throat.

@@nextlifeonearth What's more USB and 3.5mm are incompatible, which means you will need to manually switch the headphones mode on if the device doesn't recognize the darn adapter. It's even possible that greater incompatibilities might arise! I mean it might be possible that there will be no sound, as the USB is a digital port and it needs a driver while the 3.5mm is an analogous jack! It's really an awkward solution which might not always work perfectly well unless you make sure the device and the adapter are of the same brand. Yes, it will work, like, 99% of the time but... I had had some experience.... The devices that have a 3.5mm jack automatically recognize headphones when you plug or unplug them and divert the sound accordingly, which is very convenient + no dongles + no charging + no crappy wireless headphones.

the 835 has excellent thermals too. Its used in the occulus quest too and never downclocks.

@@trixniisama If you don't already have the tab S4 then it will be a great option for you, however i upgraded from a s4 to the s6 and even 5 months later i still love my tab s6.

I agree. I have Tab S4 (I'm currently writing this comment on this tablet) and Tab S6 having no headphone jack is big no no for me. I don't understand why they got rid of it.

Love the Samsung keyboard cover. I was hesitant about purchasing it because of negative reviews. It seems a lot of people have issues with the back not staying attatched. Mine is stuck to the Tab really well. I wiped the back of the Tab down first with rubbing alcohol and allowed it to set at least the recommended time. The keyboard cover for the S6 is much less bulky than the one for the S4. The keyboard front and the back are two different pieces. The keyboard attatches magnetically to the Tab S6 and it is very convenient to diconnect it and reconnect it on a whim. The hinged stand on the back works great as well.

@@nunyabn do you have any issues when you don't need the keyboard and use the Tab S4 with the cover in touch mode? For example, if you put the Tab on the table with the keyboard down or hold it with one hand to use...

Yes. I have a 200gb card in my S4 and the dedicated keyboard but I need a seeen protector. My 1st s4 cracked and i sold it for $200. I just bought a used S4 Verizon lite with keyboard in perfect condition for $300.

I may be in the same osition soon, but I love the S4 with DeX, I can't really justify it.. the S4 with the Keyboard is like the best thing ever, I haven't used my Acer or Lenovo since getting this... Except for graphical work on the Ryzen 5 + AMD GPU

I got a Tab S4 over the S6 because of the headphone jack and slightly larger battery. The Tab S4 has noticeably better battery life as the Tab S6, despite ok only being marginally smaller at 7040 vs 7300, the Tab S4 is much better optimised with 7-9 hours ost. Very happy with my Tab S4.

Batteries have a lifespan after a while they will start to lose capacity. Not fully charging or discharging a battery will extend the life of a battery

Juan, my answer is yes, but only if you intend to purchase the official Samsung keyboard cover. I say this because the keyboard cover provides a kickstand with infinite angles, a touchpad which is unique in galaxy and ipad world, dedicated keys such as DEX key, and a secure place for the S-pen. These advances make the Galaxy Tab S6 unique among tablets for productivity . If the keyboard is not essential to you, then the S4 does everything you want from a tablet, and does it well. Of course, the S6 does everything quicker and better.

@@lauriealach1072 ..not true..The S6 does not do everything quicker and better. The Adreno 540 gpu on the S4 actually outperforms the the Adreno 640 gpu in some areas and there are some things that the S4 will be better than the S6 handling.

If you are wanting the S7 plus, then I would seriously consider the S7 Pro Plus Max
