Күн бұрынWe headed out to explore some of the shopping options on the island. We stopped over at Kmart and then traveled to a local grocery story called Payless. I am thankful today for our commissary!

Funny the different things stores are called. When I hear Payless I think of a shoe store. Was that like octopus in the seafood? Thad store seems huge!

Yes! I thought Payless shoes as well. They have lots of interesting seafood for sale like octopus and whole squid!

I make “enchiladas” with the taquitos. Put taquitos in casserole dish. Too with enchilada sauce (I usually do red sauce in beef ones and green sauce on the cheese ones) and top with cheese. Bake til hot and bubbly. Quick and easy

Omg. The grocery prices are horrible everywhere. And no meal plans. That's going to take some getting use to for you. Your usually on your game with meal planning. Everything is so expensive everywhere. It's so depressing going to the grocery store.

Yes, it has taken some time to get back to it. But, we will have a meal plan next week for sure! I'm ready for some things to go back to normal.

Payless is expensive. We used to stay in Guam. When came back to Guam two years ago to visit my husband almost have a heart attack for the prices on Guam.

Yes I was very surprised. So, we'll just save those gift certificates for things we need and can't find at the commissary. They also have a very nice selection of fresh seafood too!

I'm in Australia and just came across your channel. I can't believe how much those groceries cost and how little you got for your buck. 😲 I also noticed there is a lot of processed food and sugary snacks which are very expensive as well..These foods appear to be more popular in the US...than Australia. Not judging, just an observation from the land down under. 😊

@@kerrylennox7359 yes! Processed foods are very popular in America. I'm hoping to check out the local farmers markets and farmers co-ops here for fresh produce. And to get some more cooking pots and utensils. I started to buy fresh potatoes for creamed potatoes this week but realized we didn't have a peeler or a masher. But I guess in hindsight now I could just use a knife and some forks. We'll get back to normal soon I hope!
