In June of 2024, my family went on a mission trip with our church to Wheelwright, Kentucky. Wheelwright was a company town of Inland Steel developed to support the coal mining industry. It was one time one of the top five places to live in the United States. Today, the mines have all but shut down and left this are impoverished. These songs were inspired by that trip. "God Bless Your Money" is essentially the viewpoint of someone who chose to stay and Wheelwright that is angry over the closing of the mine.
