Knebworth House is an English country house in the parish of Knebworth in Hertfordshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. Its gardens are also listed Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. In the gardens there is a dinosaur trail and also a children's adventure park.
Home to the Lytton family for over 500 years, the house was a Tudor red brick house but has been remodelled in the 19th century and now features a gothic style with turrets gargoyles and towers which have bee built aroud the red brick tudor structure.
The grounds are home to the Knebworth Festival, a recurring open-air rock and pop concert held since 1974 which has hosted bands including Led Zeppelin, Queen and Oasis.
The house has featured in many tv and films, including Harry Potter, The Kings Speech and the Great Muppet Caper.
The house is part of Historic houses and so entry to the house and estate is free to members.

That was lovely. I was in Hatfield for about 7 years and Knebworth was just up the road. I love these buildings that are still homes to the original families 👍❤️

So many stories contained within each of the great country houses. It would not be the same placing the contents in a museum setting. The contents of these places owe so much to those families who lived here and there are so many great treasures to discover. Another wonderful place to explore. The guide told us Colin Firth left his room and a member of staff who didnt recognise him wouldn't let him back in whilst he was filming The Kings Speech.
