MRI scans are considered as one of the main diagnostic tools for the assessment of knee pathologies. This video will explain how a knee MRI scan is performed along with the protocols, planning and positioning for a knee magnetic resonance imaging scan.

Just got done with mine. Was nervous asf cause I am claustrophobic. Luckily for me, my head didn’t go under (I was there for my knee).

I'm facing an MRI on my left knee soon and was dreading the thought of having to go into that tube, It appear that the process allows for the head and shoulders to stay outside the tube which would make a huge difference.

Same! I simply wouldn't be able to do it if I had to go inside. I know I'd instantly have a full on claustrophobic panic so I wouldn't even bother booking the apointment.

@@leighfulton1551 the process its self isn't bad at all. Youll have to stay still for a long time, but you'll have the ability to communicate with the MRI operator. I was given earplugs and special headphones that allowed me to listen to music during my scan. You can always ask questions if you have any concerns. The techs will be happy to answer.

I'm so glad this day and age they have these MRI machine to look inside your body so the doctor could see what's going on before you go in for surgery if you need it it's nothing to be scared about you're in here just make sure you get a large machine sometimes they try to squeeze you into a small one which is no good just tell him you want to go to a place that has a large one listen to some music and before you know it it's over with and they pull you out or I could say is good luck ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯👍❤️🍀

Sir I get my knee twisted inwards very often while running, kicking bike, wrong foot landing knee gets swollen and the pain remains for a week or big higher where I can't walk fully . First time this twist happened to me when 4 years ago, since then is has happened nearly 12, 15 times. Normal the knee is ok but feels vernarable and gets somehow twisted after some months (3,4,6). I visited doctor two three time he asked for X-ray because there is no MRI facility here in our district. What's your suggestion on this, how can I make my knee strong to be able to play without risk. Please please tell me what to do diet plan, exercise, medicine. Will I be able to get fully fit just like I was 4 years ago?

Once you’ve had a brain MRI, you can sit inside this machine for hours. The brace over the head for the brain MRI is by far what makes it worse

I've had mini strokes years ago. Did not like it then, or now the machine. I also attempted a MRI in the early 90's. The Techs refused to do leg first. Some times being a layman; I think they really don't care if you do or not!

I had an mri done from the top of my head to my lower back and I joked about how it’s like a Hannibal Lector mask with mirrors on the eyes. The procedure took two and half hours and my anxiety medication wore off after two. That last hour was so terrifying that I always get anxiety meds. My drs order me a new mri every three months and the meds are a must even after years of having them done.

Danika Walkuw : dw it acctually isn’t anything they give u headphones so they can talk and the noise wont hurt ur ear. Ur parent can go next to u but u need to take any magnetic stuff off and u need to be still dw its nothing trust me 😁

Good luck Saciid Sare on your MRI. I hope you will come back and let me/us know how it went. I might need one on my knee and I don't think I will do it. I read that you can't cough or even swallow and was wondering if that was only for the upper part of a body scan or any part. I have coughing spells for no reason at all and don't think I can stop swallowing. Anyway good luck to you and good luck to you too Bailey Lady!

Terri S. You can laugh, swallow, cough, as long as you don’t move ur knee, my mri tech let me listen to music, I was able to wear my earrings, and I didn’t have to change into a gown, THOSE MACHINES ARE SO COOL don’t worry

Yes but previous operate details must be carry with you whenever you are going to do your scan, it can help to know witch metals are use during operate.

Having mine done on my knee as I am hearing impaired I wouldn’t hear the music with the earphones or anyone talking ! Need a video of something or caption screen for the hearing impaired to see !

I really hate all the darn noise from the machine! Maybe oneday there will be a quiet machine. Having the earplugs& headphones didnt help me much. I have really sensitive hearing
