Europe in the early Middle Ages -- Nobles and clergy rule and the trade between nations brings prosperity as well as envy, distrust, and greed. Military conflict is everywhere and entire continents are changing.
In Medieval Dynasty, you take on the role of a young man who has fled from war and wants to take his fate into his own hands. From being alone, inexperienced and poor you will develop into a master of many skills, a leader of your community and the founder of a prosperous dynasty which is meant to last and prosper for generations to come. Defending against wild animals while hunting for food, gathering resources and crafting equipment, building a house and erecting a whole bustling village while founding a family all contribute to a unique gameplay experience across many genres. Tough winters and unexpected events challenge your skills and dexterity as you strive to build your own legacy.
You can choose to follow the main chapters, solve the questlines or just roam around and explore the vast medieval world - but be careful as wolves or bears may try to take a bite from you... Begin with the simplest things for your own survival like hunting and farming as well as building yourself a home. Found a family and have a heir - entice others to live near and work for you, erect many other buildings to transform your settlement into a vibrant village and, ultimately, a thriving dynasty that will reign for generations.

Medieval Dynasty is a unique combination of multiple successful genres:
Survival: The need to survive, feed and ensure survival through hunting, farming and cultivation of the land.
Simulation: Create tools and weapons, construct and extend houses, stables and all manner of buildings as you grow an empire.
Role playing: Develop your own character, interact with NPCs, take care of your family and form community alliances by helping others and trading freely.
Strategy: While pioneering in the Middle Ages you will found and expand a village, manage the inhabitants, collect resources and produce all the goods you need and use or capitalise by trading them.

Oh thank for the detailed video. I jumped right into the game and I must admit, it did get me stressed a little, not knowing what to do. I am so glad I bumped into your video coz others aren't as helpful. I did die eventually from health & hunger unfortunately after building a house lol. No stress though coz I now know how to go about the game, especially the customisation. I definitely will check out your other videos as you are very detailed. Thanks for sharing.

For anyone starting out get the tracker and survival sense abilities, tracker let’s you see animals with your sense and survival sense gives you plants, stones bushes etc. instead of searching for small rocks or plants to make money just hit the sense button and it will pop up. Also helpful if your getting attacked by a single wolf so you don’t run into the pack while fighting or running from it.

I disagree that there is no hurry, until you talk to the Castellan you can't build so much as a camp fire so it's very helpful to at least do the first quest and get permission to build. Also there's a cart wreck behind where you spawn that has some good loot.

My seasons are set to 30 days.

I did this until I realized crops don't grow until the change of season and I didn't want a 30 day winter. I know you can sleep to skip to the next season when you want to progress but that feels very odd to me

I'm just starting this game. Just in regards the Length of Season (Days).. What is that referring to? like say 3 days is that each season is 72 real hours?

Seems obvious to me that this refers to in-game days. There is also a visual indicator at the center-top position that shows how much of the season is left and which season it currently is.

This video is very thorough in the content that it covers but is perhaps poorly named. The first 25ish minutes are spent going over the user interface (at times repetitively such as explaining that performing a skill builds skill experience for each of the main skill trees) and some gaming fundamentals (such as what a quest and the difference between main and side quests). Only the last few minutes are actually spent talking about collecting resources. With so little time spent toward the resource collection it seems inaccurate to describe this video as a resource guide over an interface guide and may as well cut that time from this segment and tack it onto the front end of the settlement guide.

😭We went through the whole video not using "Gamer-speak" and at 29:47 onwards you start talking about Bears, first your talking about other anmals and where you can "find" them and then switch when talking about bears to this is where they "spawn in". For me that word spawn is for shoot 'em up games where there is no perma-death, and the word "spawn" ruins immersion.

To much talking. Dont understand how to build a house for exampel. What Button do I use to build? How do I fisch.? What Button?? Do not find any answers. NOT fun to play this. Dont understand how to play it. Payed a lot IF money for The game, but cant play it😑

Wouldn't it be great if the game had a built-in archive where one can look up things one isn't quite sure about? Or a place where one could look up what the key bindings are? Oh, wait, it does. As for the game mechanics themselves, they work largely on the basis of common sense.
