Knife Making - Jungle Bowie from Truck Leaf Spring

This is how I turned a rusty old leaf spring into a bowie style knife. The saw teeth are mainly for aesthetics and to cut down the weight of the knife. Hope you enjoy the vid!

As a fellow knife maker, well done brother. I have a Randall in the same fashion I have had for many moons and other than the Randall having multiple finger grooves, side by side you’d be hard out to tell the difference. Beautiful blade. Cheers.

This reminds me of a survival knife from my childhood in the 80’s I always wanted, but was too poor to afford!!

That is why I learned to make my own knives. In the 80's I was a teenager and there was a survival knife, a big one that I couldn't buy because I was poor to spend money on a knife.

nice knife! and nice grinder! a suggestion, use the angle grinder to chamfer the edge and starting the bevel, this way the belts will last longer!
