Hey there Kev! sure looks like fun what ya all are doing wish I could join!! Say that Pat. NO. on that Western fixed blade knife was for their hollow tang design where the leather disks slid on with the slot in them. the date is when it was in effect till it would exspire.

Just an excellent video Kevin. Good to have friends to get together with with a common interest. Question for you, that military knife by Kinfolks did that have a leather handle? I have some no name stainlees steel knife from brazil, a fix blade and it has plastic scales one is broken. It has a nice full tang that I think I could adapt to a leather handle like they have on some of the Estwing hammers and hatchets. Would a leather handle like that work out okay? Thanks for any comment.

My brother had gathered all his knife pins that he has been collecting through the years and put them together in a shadowbox… ( Deep picture frame) … it’s right next to another shadowbox with some small knives like the LB 1 ( schrade) and Spyderco cricket. I have wanted to do something of the same.. I was dumpster diving at a building that was closing up a dozen years ago and came across a lot of glass, enclosed bulletin boards… only thing was they are all busted up in some form or other.. I said to myself maybe when I retire I’ll put all this together and get two good ones out of the deal… retirement was eight years ago lol..

Hope Lamar goes to the ULU factory in Anchorage, I went a little extreme and got 15 which was not in my carry on. They would have not made it home if I had! The best ones I saw were at the Alaska Visitors Center. Mine was made with fossilized mammoth bone, they use a lot of different materials. They have website.

It’s going for my Uncle’s Tribute in my new Knife Shop. He was killed in WW2. He drove a Sherman tank in the 37th Tank Battalion. Plus, we’re all Brothers in Arms!! Thanks for watching and I hope you understand now.
