The outro has such a nice groove to it, and being able to feel that groove with the hopos is great

@@perrywclifton No it doesn't. RB4 dropped keyboard support, only RB3 has keys. They just dropped the sound because it's not the guitar part. They also dropped the acoustic guitar strikes from the intro.

@@Hopecaster In RB, yes. It was also the case in Clone Hero but that was changed to notes x 100 no matter what percentage (60% or above) is hit for competitive purposes.

Not a bass solo, it’s originally played on a synth. It’s not in the isolated bass track and Chris never plays it live.

Guitar hero one is also a lot harder. Rock Band is generally for lower iq players.

Rock Band charts that part to bass, which seems more appropriate given the tones

It seems far enough apart that Guitar Hero made the right call with that. Both really good charts though. I like Rock Band 4 overall, but another instances is 3:55. It feels so much cooler gameplay-wise for that build up to be a 3 note chord. But you just don't hear it so much in the guitar which you can understand why HMX charted it as a 2 note chord.

Because it's supposed to be a slow strum chord, guitar hero makes it seem like each string in the chord is strum at each note

And on top of that, the one GH track is one that appeared in a non-band centric GH game.

There are a few other places where the Rock Band chart has a few extra strums. Seems like it kinda evens out. I'd say the biggest difference in these two charts is that GH3 charts the synth solo and RB does not

RB is significantly harder than GH because of the engine

RB is also as accurate as possible on a 5 fret to how it's played on a real guitar

Rock band 4 is still updated with songs on ps4 and Xbox One, WDYM? Also arcades usually have guitar hero

@@ryanrobertson9744 yeah but we’re up to the ps5 now haha. And I’m talking about how the demand for the game isn’t nearly what it was anymore. It’s not a household game anymore. Playing in arcade isn’t anywhere near the same thing. Not to mention that it’s not a standard and there are plenty of arcades that don’t even have it.

i think now is the time for a next gen RB5. heck i still play my RB4. love it. need new instuments though and the PS5 could make RB5 incredible. rock and roll never dies!

PC gaming has more focus on it than ever and you can have a very customized/tailored experience on things like clone hero, with an unthinkable amount of community-made charts. of course, it's not nearly as ubiquitous in households and culture as GH or RB were, and the experience is different in it's own way. but this type of game isn't dead, it's still thriving with a whole community around it in a different form.

@@kgunitkeese17 The intro to TTFAF is guitar, which is why it’s also charted in the Rock Band version. Yes, GH does include keyboard sections in its chart, but the intro is not one of them.

@@MKNerdMusic but is that acoustic guitar we are hearing coming from an actual guitar and not a keyboard? I’ve checked and there is no mention of an acoustic guitar. They play without a keyboard live because the keyboardist is not a member of the band. My main point is that GH incorporates the keyboard into the controller, but in reality it’s not supposed to.

@@kgunitkeese17 I do agree with that sentiment. Guitar Hero was always notorious for charting non-guitar sections for most songs. However, if you listen to the isolated guitar stem for TTFaF, you’ll immediately tell that it’s acoustic guitar.

The synth part

GH likes to chart notes that are either bass notes or just not really there

It's because they start having leading notes after those two blue sustains, meaning that the gap between the notes is too short to justify a sustain.

The overcharting in guitar Hero is almost entirely why I stopped supporting guitar Hero. That and the flame-rising animations that always threw me off and seemed to put a bit of distance between the not being played and the sound of it. I tentatively got into Guitar hero and loved it. got super into Guitar Hero 2 and got to expert on that. got to guitar Hero III and almost gave up on the genre. Thought I was 'over it' and that the fad was dead. Didn't know about the dev change or the team change, just thought it was over for me. then a friend got Rock Band on PS3, I played it and was immediately like 'wait, this feels like Guitar Hero but easier'' Then I did my research and found out why. I've bought guitar hero games since then but it's never been the same. Stuck with Rock Band and am still playing it in 2022.

Bruh If they laned the strums it would've been much harder to FC. I'm glad they weren't laned because strumming at this speed without lanes is possible
