Hey guys! In this video, I'll be knitting a summer cardigan from the boxy cardigan design! It was fun to go back to my pattern and work up another little boxy cardigan. I made a few changes as well which I go through and chat a bit about the knitting process and design so I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for making videos like this 😁 I'm loving the collar by the way! 🥰 I'm also obsessed with collars , It's so cute and it has vintage vibes. 😁 I wish I know how to read patterns so I can also make some of this. So far my knitted items are basic. Hehehehe. I'm a beginner knitter and I want to learn more. ☺️ I haven't knitted anything lately because of busy schedule. Can't wait to see more from you. ☺️

Hi! What cable length are you using here for your knitting needles? Really lovely pattern and i look forward to trying this out for my first knitted garment! (Been knitting for several years and didnt had the courage to try a garment till i saw your video!)

Hey! I used either a 80cm or 100 cm cable mostly. It will depend on the size you work. You can swap the cable to a 40 cm if you're doing the shorter parts like the fronts before joining. Hope that helps happy knitting! 🧶

I'm finding it hard to understand how the two front become apart of the body including adding cast ons for under arm?? currently have the back on scrap yarn and two front on scrap yarn, does this all get transferred on to one set of round needles and then you just knit down all in one?? :)

cute vid! i’ve been knitting along and just got the sleeves bit - ofc you stopped there in this vid and the vest is so cute !! just wondering if the sleeves are knit in the round? the pattern says knit in St st but i’m guessing it has to be joined in the round 🤔 thx in advance!!

8 ply cotton is fine, just make sure you gauge swatch!

is this suitable for beginners?

Hey! I think this would suit a more advanced beginners because of the construction. It's worked top down and the stitches are basic knit, purl, garter stitch. I think if you know these stitches you will be okay and feedback from other knitters says it's easy to understand for the most part!
