I think there's a mistake in the chart. Row 11 should be: (3A, 1C, 1A, 7C, 1A, 1C, 2A). Not: (3A, 1C, 1A, 7C, 1A, 2C, 1A).

Hi, can you work with mini balls of the two colors to minimize the number of floats? How about slip knitting with one color two raws alternatively so that you don't have to worry about floats?

thank you. if you dont mind me saying. I am very new to stranded knitting and as far as reading the pattern I would have liked you to knit two or more lots of 16. I am up to row 3 and assuming that the pattern reads....3 grey 3 yellow 1 gray 3 yellow 1 gray 3 yellow then 5 gray 3 yellow..... can anyone correct me or am i correct. cheers.

I've only been knitting for 10 yrs, self-taught, but crocheting since I was 7 ( I'm 53 now) anyhow, I've really been wanting to learn/knit Argyle, I am curious if I could use bobbins instead of carrying the colors or would that make too much of a difference? Just seems like with all the floats it's a waste of yarn. Thanks, in advance.

We have 32 stitches so I assume you repeat beginning at the beginning of the pattern row. Right?

Hi Pam, no one has answered you but I will. I am brand new to Fair Isle so have looked at a few videos and I believe pure wool (especially shetland wool if you can find it) is ideal. I am brand new so I am just using acrylic for the doggy blanket I am working on.

sock wool -a mix of wool and nylon or bamboo is great. It is available in any craft store or wool shop.

How would you read this in the round

Mrs Harris You would read the chart the exact same way as you would flat.If you want do a fair isle hat or cowl cast on 16 a multiple of sixteen as it says on the paper. Only if this one chart is what your reading
