A little late (you asked it over a year ago) and maybe my 'taste' for KZfaqrs is very different because I am a lot older. I love watching long videos/podcasts while I am knitting myself. In fact it doesn't matter on which subject (I love gardening too, and bicycle-camping tours). So I watch Arne & Carlos 'Sit and knit for a bit', Kate from 'The last homely house', Fruity Knitting and Roxanne Richardson's 'Casual Friday'. I found KZfaq knitting videos because I was searching for tutorials on certain techniques, Roxanne has a lot of those too! O, almost forgot, I recently discovered 'Cabin Boy Knits' and 'The Knitting Man' (Gary Ray Smith). So it may seem I like watching men who knit / talk about knitting. :-)

Kate from the last homely house is a favorite of mine and my mom! She also watches The Knitting Man and recently showed me some of his videos.❤ I think that you might like Yarn Flakes and Fiber Tales! They are two of my recent favorites!

I love your podcasts! I’m a new knitter and I want to find all of the tips, patterns, and ideas I can possibly get. Tiffany and your videos inspire me a lot. I would love podcasts about your finished project. I was wondering, is the sweater you’re wearing right now knitted by yourself? ☺️ (also, I’m like a 6th grader so people sometimes make fun of me for knitting 😰)

I love the tangent about fast fashion! I got really into knitting for the same reason. I've been either making or thrifting my clothes (except jeans for reasons) for the last 2-3 years and I love it. I'd also love to knit my husband something. He loves sweaters and I'll get around to it someday! I'm working on knitting my mom a sweater right now, but she's the first person I've made something big for! I'm also working on a baby blanket for friends due in July. I love your vids and keep up the good work!

Yes! Ever since I started knitting I’ve cut down or stopped buying altogether. I did that for a year and then earlier this year I invested in a few items. Making things yourself really puts things into perspective. But we need to remember we aren’t machines 😊 at least I like to remind myself that haha. I’m a pretty selfish knitter and a huge goal this year is to cast on some projects for my family

Nice Q&A! Another question from me, how many projects have you completed over the years up to now? I just followed your Instagram :) Knitting is becoming popular here (still niche but the companies and ppl making lots of money too). Popular Korean youtuber had a booming business of selling yarn and self-created packages but she closed her business cuz she was sleeping only 4 hours a day and overworking... (although she quit her jobs and her friend helped, accordingto her Q&A). So you could think about it but see if you would want to do that :) Just making my first summer sweater, I have so many things I want to make. That backside is hilarious 😂 I want to try that one day as well.

I love your channel😍💖💖😍you are definitely successful in your plan to inspire people! At the moment I'm sewing a lot! Which I love, but I'm very intrigued with knitting! I'm just very very nervous 😂I did some knitting in primary school... but didn't get very far😂 I'd love to start a project of something I'd actually wear... I'd obviously practice stitches but I'm not sure if jumping into knitting a sweater is a good idea for a first project... what would you advise? 😂
@WellLovedKnits
@WellLovedKnits 3 жыл бұрын
That's great! I would love to sew more... sounds like we are the inverse! I would suggest to pick a project that calls for chunky yarn and needles between 9 and 15mm. That way, you can make fast progress and have a good look at what you're doing. I personally started again with a long chunky scarf! It's something I wear all the time too.

I remember when other people were embarrassed to say they liked knitting, but my friends already think I'm a grandma trapped in a 20yo body (baking, cautious driving, cribbage, mending clothes), so I shamelessly knit in public & have for years, so they don't fight it anymore lol 😆

I have worked with Drops Alpaca Mix before and was not very impressed by the durability so I wouldn’t make socks with it personally. I might have been unlucky with the batch or something, but I had to unravel quite a large part and the yarn broke in multiple places and was very fragile after that.

You are working a very long winded way of knitting, I have to say. And all those ends! Have you heard of Intarsia? Duplicate stitch is used more as a highlighter because of all the work and the ends. Intarsia - there are only two ends for the whole motif... Take care - Lynn Western Australia
