If one used a cable needle to twist that would it turn out the same? First one she twisted that K stitch to a purl and then knitted from back loop. Wouldn't that be the same as knitting it off needle after dropping the first to the back?

@@Val-ee4hd Hi Val, yes you could use a cable needle instead of twisting the stitches. The first one you would put the purl st. on the cable needle and put it to the back while you knitted the next stitch and the cable after you had knit the 6 sts. you would put the knit st on the cable needle and put to the front while you knitted the purl st. Hope this makes sense. Wendy.

@Wendy Thanks! I thought it was the same thing. Some don't like the cable needles and some do. I would probably make a mess of it without a needle. LOL I am currently working on the His/Her Cabled sweater.

HI Helen Connerat If you are looking for a stitch for scarf then seed stitch would be great for that because it is reversable just search for how to knit seed stitch on youtube you can find bunch of tutorials there. or you can try this stitch as well if you like it this is also reversable kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b5aEddZ3tajGdXk.html
