We could sit around a campfire talking sharps all evening! At last count I had 77 knives. I have a left draw horizontal fixed blade on me right now. Yep, we could spend a fair amount of time talking sharps and drinking chocolate. A delightful way to spend an evening. Keep up the good work as I see those subscription numbers are going up.

Don’t worry….I had bins inside of larger bins….Kept two of each tool and gifted/sold the rest. Yes, Tools stay pristine in their original Amazon packaging😂😂😂. If tools aren’t beat up, I don’t even watch. You kept the good stuff. D😎🇺🇸

My current tool loadout is a Gransfors Bruk Scandinavian Forest Axe, Morakniv Carbon Garberg Knife, Silky Big Boy 2000 XL Folding Saw, and a Leatherman Supertool 300 Multi Tool. I do have other tools like an Ontario SP10 Raider Bowie, CRKT Black Woods Chogan Tomahawk, Cold Steel Spetznaz Shovel, Husqvarna Multipurpose Forest Axe etc. but I have settled on what works for me in most situations. The Cold Steel Spetznaz Shovel is a good tool and pretty cheap, I would recommend it over the entrenching tools, but I don't find myself digging at camp very much. I really like that ESEE knife based on old trade knives, that's right up my alley. My wife has a Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe and Silky Gomboy 240 Folding Saw. Funny enough, I live in East Tennessee and I bought my Gransfors Bruk Scandinavian Forest Axe at Smoky Mountain Knifeworks lol, I go there all the time, love that place, and like you, I went there all the time and it was always sold out. Last year, I went there and told my wife, if they had one, I would buy it, and sure enough, they had 3 of them for $219, and I got to pick one from the 3 they had. The price has went up slightly in recent years. I love my Scandinavian Forest Axe though, and my wife's Small Forest Axe is really great too. She has the same Morakniv Carbon Garberg knife as me. We always go out together. Regarding Axes, either you are an axe guy or not, it's kind of like cars or women, you like what you like, I happen to like Axes, GM cars, and brunettes lmao. My ESEE purchases (so far) have been my two favorite knives I own. An ESEE 4 with a sharp swedge that is my go-to survival knife, and an ESEE Avispa, in D2 as a folder. The Avispa could work as a survival knife, but it lives in my pocket for general slicing duties.

Ooooooo…the 🇺🇸WW2 42 shovel is beautiful!! never get rid of. Magical gear. I treat my ww2 canvas gear with vegetable oil/otter wax/leather conditioner. I love bringing it back to life…..GB axes are like rolls Royce..yours are 285$, 189$ and $159…but..good luck getting one in stock..all sold out out. Hide them😂😂😂

I saw the entrenching tool first thing when that segment started. Recognized it and waited to hear what vintage it was and how you came into possession of it. I inherited one when I bought the property I currently own. The previous owner had been a pilot during WWII. He flew with Johnny Hill who was the brother of Tex Hill of Flying Tigers fame. I also found a mattock from the same time period that has the handle which slides out like a tomahawk. Cool stuff! Keep up the good work, brother!

MCQ BUSHCRAFT😀: one of the early, great Bushcraft KZfaqrs! Mike has a quiet, patient teaching style and he really knows the basics. His stuff is timeless and is the place to go for a compact review of ...whatever in Bushcraft. Lately, I have been focusing my knife purchases on American Woodcraft classics and 'different' styles of Nordic belt knives. I DO go to specialty makers: K-Bar Becker for my Kephart reproduction spearpoint, a noted Russian smith for a Yakut traditional all-purpose knife, Adventure Sworn for their custom Nessmuk knife, Marbles for their classic Woodcraft model.

A fantastic review and trip down memory lane…I love my eesse izula 2 perfect size for field dressing a deer because when you’re elbow deep in a carcass, I don’t want to wonder where the long blade of a bigger knife is…plus that grip doesn’t get slippery in blood. My GB felling ax has been getting a super workout this past fall and will be back to work this spring on a project that I can’t wait to share with Boonedockery!

I grew up using axes and over the years have accumulated more than a few classics that I have restored. I can't imagine being without an axe but funny fact, none are Gransfors Bruks and they actually rank pretty low on any list of axes I would ever make! I know people love them and good on them but no thankyou!

I think alot of people who likes being in the woods end up chasing the perfect tool so you get a collection over time,alot of bushcraft channels are basicly salesmen pushing products for companies hence tools dont look used.
