This song was SO CLOSE to being called "Rabbit" you have no idea... but the hook "Knock Knock Who Cares?" was just too catchy! Also, I can't WAIT until you hear Michael Kovach's performance! IMO, he shows a side of Jax we've never seen before and it's gonna make you feel things... not necessarily GOOD things, but you'll feel things none the less.

In true Gabe fashion, I'm in a hurry because I have to get to the airport so I can fly to LA for a meeting, and also so I can catch my flight to Nashville in two days so Nate and I can drive to Georgia to HOPEFULLY premiere this song at MomoCon which honestly might not even work out because we didn't submit our paperwork in time and all the performing slots are taken up... Seriously though, I love being busy! It's better than being bored! Speaking of avoiding boredom, I recently got back into skydiving! I got licensed when I was in the Navy, but after my injury, I stopped jumping until about a month ago when I became obsessed with the idea of jumping out of my own ultralight! I don’t know whether this is intentional or not, but I like the ambiguity of the ending and how it implies two things: either Jax is finally going to let someone in or worse, his walls are starting to crack and he might abstract soon.

I love the ominous feeling at the "knock knock who's there?" part. I just feel like it opens a window to how Jax actually feels on the inside, and i find that interesting. Many people say he might abstract, but i really hope he doesn't! He has so much room for an amazing character arc, and i hope i get to see it! :]

I love this so much. The vocals are on point, the animation is beautiful, and I love how the door at the end can kind of go two ways, like he is finally opening himself up by coming out of his room or he is actually abstracting. Though a small part of me leans to abstraction because the video gets more and more glitchy as it goes on, which is a detail I REALLY love. Also I think the part with Kaufmo and the butterfly to be really nice. It's like Jax was letting himself crack, be vulnerable, and accept that the situation is real and it's okay to feel bad about it, but he supresses those emotions by crushing the butterfly, which could lead to the abstraction in the end.

Well, just look at kauftmo, he seem genuinely sad when they mentioned his funeral, just for a second his face soften.. Just to quickly snap back to his persona and go away... That's why they put such focus in this song about the "knock knock" is a type common of joke, yes jax does jokes an pranks and stuff, but the "knock knock" actually reminds more of the character of kauftmo, always doing bad jokes, the only character who's death really seem like affected jax... It was also kauftmo hands shown on that part of the song, jax also share his bowling ball to kauftmo, and also had the nickname kofee for him, it actually is posible those two were close... That's what I feel the song is also trying to reflect

This song really reminds me of what I love most about Jax. He dissociates himself so it's easier for himself when his friends inevitably abstract. He chooses to cause problems because he's done the same monotonous stuff so many times that it's become boring for him, and he finds that making his own fun is more entertaining than following along with whatever plot Caine sets in front of them.

I love how this song and Jakeneutron’s Jax toy perfectly capture the two big interpretations of Jax across the fandom. One has him as a guy trying to distance himself with apathy to avoid pain. The other portrays him as someone who’s an irredeemable asshole out of pure boredom and kicks. And because Gooseworx once said Jax deserves to be in the circus more than anyone, both are totally valid.

I really love how the song explains Jax's personality and behavior perfectly imo. His selfish and careless behavior is his fear of abstraction. He's mean to others and pushes them away in order to avoid getting hurt because what's the point in caring about them if they're just going to be gone at some point because he has probably seen it over and over again.

You know what? Maybe I do like Jax! It makes complete sense why he's a jerk, he's trapped in a world where nothing he does matters, he can't die, but terrible things can happen anyway. Anyone he cares about suffers such fate, so why care at all? Choosing not to care does better for his sanity, he has it figured out

I adore how this shows Jax’s mindset. Like one voice is in Jax’s and the other are walls he puts up to keep himself sane. It’s in the beat, the lyrics and the way it’s sung and I love that SO much❤

Interesting detail: around 2:35 with the butterfly, you can hear a distorted "Hi! Im Kaufmo!" ...The loss of his friends does affect him (in this song and based on that brief second in episode 2,) he just cant show it

@@GOC_Marinenah it does affect him. If it didn't affect him, he wouldn't switch to anger like he did in episode 2; he'd have sighed and followed along. Which he didn't. He even avoided being on his (kaufmo's) funeral. He acts heartless to hide his weakness.

as someone who's dealing with extreme anxiety and other things, I can relate to these lyrics so much. I hate the feeling of that depressive, manic, uncaring, passionate pondering. i think this really captures what Jax is going through...thanks for making an undoubtedly relatable song! (also was that a lore drop with the "you've seen it happen again and again"?!)

I feel like this is a message to the people who keeps saying he is a horrible character, knowing he was going to be like that, I don't know why they are acting like they didn't know he would be that mean. Me personally, I love Jax because just like Angel Dust with the mean attitude they're actually nice on the inside. This song definitely suits Jax. I love him so much, and I love that Micheal Kovach plays as him.

Here's a fun fact that not a lot of people seem to know: No one is obligated to share your opinion. If you like this character, there's nothing wrong with that, but there's nothing wrong with hating him either. Just because this cartoon character is a jerk doesn't mean you should be.

There should be an episode (fanon or canon) where Jax does a "harmless" prank/joke in his eyes just wanting to get a reaction out of everyone, but his prank backfires and everyone isn't necessarily mad, just disappointed in him and stop talkjng to him, no longer giving him the reactions that he wants, ignoring his comments, and no longer falling for his tricks and actually confronting him about it, etc. Jax at first still thinks its funny or whatever and everyone's overreacting, but he then realizes that his prank/joke wasnt actually funny and regrets it and then has a moment of clarity. The rest, TBD.
