Typically, the Haunted Mansion at Knoebels receives some mild updates from year to year. The last major change was the hanging skull room, (2016) which is now the upside down room. With the pandemic hitting last year, not much was done in terms of updates or changes. Thankfully, 2021 is bringing up something new. A very familiar room in the Mansion received some significant updates. Not only are there some new monsters, but old monsters now have a new role and theming has been changed around a bit. I did two ride through's to try and capture everything, but there was still lots that I missed in the shadows. If you're a fan of this ride, I highly recommend riding it a few times this year. Job well done to the caretaker and staff at Knoebels.

Good to see that old carnival rides still are in operation. With all of the technology and ability to have actors play characters in haunted house rides this one brings me back to the good ole days. :)

Absolutely love how the track starts off on the patio and then flips around to the front of the house. Thanks for filming that part, a lot of youtubers don’t. I really enjoy these classic dark rides.

That 2nd ride thru with the light on made all the difference. There was sooooooo much to see and your camera work was awesome in catching so much. I went back and watched the dark version again and it was so much better knowing what was there in the first place. Thanks!! I LOVE being scared!

Everyone agrees that the camera light on makes a hugh difference and it really does!! Exciting trip through one of the oldest type fun houses, reminder of when one was little. Loved it!! Thanks for the ride...times2!!

Great video JP, I'm excited to go to Knoebels this year and ride it! I think the dungeon room was probably one of the weaker rooms in the ride so I'm glad they chose that for an update. It looks really cool!

Just went yesterday, this was my first ride of the day! I was trying to figure out all the changes, but I’ll admit... I always scream at the truck horn. I KNOW it’s coming but gosh dang it I’m never prepared 😂😂😂

Long live thr truck horn. Been scsring me senseless since 1985!!! I'm from wilkes barre this is our back yard here. Knobe is the best park in America. Love the hotn. I always brace for it !!!

Thanks so much for sharing this. I love going to knoebels and my one favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion. I haven't been able to ride it when I go to knoebels because on February 17,2006 I was diagnosed with seizures. Because of the strobe lights I can't ride my favorite ride. So thank you so much for showing it. I was able to see it again.

Great video JP. I loved the second time you went in with a camera light. Great .piece 🧩 f work. Of course I cried when you are knoebels. So many great memories of family reunions, So many are now gone. Lots of laughing acting crazy. The place is magical to me. We live near Hershey park and we always had season passes. Got our monies worth and then some. It's to much anymore. I can't physically walk that much now. We seen lots of great concerts there. We like Dorney park but go up afteri the buses leave for the day. It's not as clean like it used to be. I mean this from the bottom of my heart your videos have been good again. The Pittsburg, knoebels and the ones you put your heart into. It shows. Stay strong be true to your self. Life is short, cherish every minute with your family. Sorry to sound so sad. We lost our brother in law in January. We just are having a hard time. We could not go to see him due to covid. I got what Joe had so I'm terrified. Am I next . Take care . Any prayers would be appreciated.

With a limited Field Of View due to looking through the camera lens, I found a way to see all the things you miss due to the speed of changing directions! Watch the video at normal speed, THEN, set youtube speed to 50% slower and watch it again! It was Great! Thank you for turning on the light the second time through.

I still miss what used to be the first room that was full of hanging skulls that moved up and down and glowed in the dark. It was my favorite part of the ride. I was sad to see that go. It still has some of its classics such as the dragon coming out of the clock and the truck!

Thank you for sharing this! I moved from PA to Florida in January of 2020, so I wasn’t able to go to Knoebels last year or this year. It used to be a family tradition to go every summer. I miss it so much 😢

Went to knoebels for the first time on the 4th of July. I loved this ride and truly is one of the best dark rides I have been on Great park can’t wait to go back again sometime! Thanks for the video !

My faves were the library, the wall of bones, and the cemetery. Have you ever seen from the outside side or back of the “house” how big it is or how it extends? I know the front is made to look like a house but how is the side and back. Thanks for the video, JP!

That is amazing they still have the tractor trailer coming towards you with the horn blast that is what scared My world war II dad. Now back in the day in the '80s early '90s it was a very last thing and then they had dripping water comes out on you I'm laughing so hard because it made you think that there was spiders falling on you or something. Great video.

I'm also glad to see that they still have that creature coming out of the oven one thing I was disappointed that they didn't have the bobbing skulls you so skulls that would float up and down on metal poles that were fluorescent and would glow in the dark with black lights

Up to 3 bucks now? Good lord I remember when it was 1.25. I still miss the spinning hallway in the attic, I like the new scenes in the dungeon room though….and I think people are getting off easy with that truck horn. Used to be so much louder and longer lol with no warning whatsoever. Ahh good times. Heading out there next weekend hopefully, before a trip home to Orlando for a few days :)

3 bucks is a steal compared to what some dark rides cost in other parks. Cheapest one is ocmd is 5 and a crappy one is 11 bucks lol

@@JPVideos81 oh I know it’s cheap lol im to just remembering how much it was in the past…..even though from 1989-1999 I refused to ride it (parents made the mistake of taking me on it in 88 (3 years old…very first dark ride, scared shitless..very good memory, wouldn’t go near it again) 😂

My 5 year old went on this for the first time last week. She went on with her friend and her older siblings adopted cousin. She comes out and is like "oh mu heavens!" Me and my son stayed outside waiting for them to come out so we could ride the tea cups. More our cup of tea.

Fun fact: Billy Boy and Billy Bob from the hard luck bear show that once been there are know use as props for the haunted house and Pete and repeat are know in the museum while the rest are in storage

So if the didn’t know the guy getting the electric chair is billy boy from the hard luck bears and in this update they must have ripped of his head to replace it because when comparing images the neck is way longer but the arms are the same just in the up position

Knobels “borrowed” heavily off of the Jim Melonic Masterpiece down at Rehobeth Beach Funland. Knobels is a great ride, but the Haunted Mansion at Rehobeth is in a world of its own.
