Seriously my favorite bike ever, and this is after coming off many years of carbon 'super bikes'. The rear-wheel traction climbing is mind-blowing on tech climbs. It just does everything so, so well. I had more fun on this than the SB 130 LR so I bought one. If you ever have a chance ride one, I think I may be a Knolly bikes lifer now.

This is totally a bike that doesn't wind up on too many people's radars. This is the kind of bike that you walk up to and look at because you're curious. And then you wonder who would buy it. And then you go home and bring it up on the laptop. And then you walk in and buy one.

Had a carbon splinter enter my hand from a Carbon Cube Stereo, my goodness it was a shard and a half. Really hurt. It made me revert back to aluminium frames.

This bike seems to have similar geometry and suspension to the Pivot Switchblade but with a bit slacker head angle. How does it compare to the switchblade?

I wish Knolly would make the Fugitive as a very budget version with an sx or Nx drivetrain some budget shocks but the same sweet frame design for 3k or less

How does the knolly fugitive lt compare to troy 29?

The Fugitive is a thrasher’s bike. Unlike the Troy, it makes it known right away what it wants to do. While it uses its 135 millimeters of travel really well, it’s still a very taught-feeling bike. If you want to break traction on command or pop off of any bump tall enough to feel through your tires, the Fugitive is the bike. But if you want something better at the long-travel 29er’s unique capability of floating through rough stuff without complaining to your palms and feet, the Troy 29 is the one. It falls short of being the pillow-soft monster truck that the SB150 or Pivot Firebird 29 are, but sort of in a good way. It feels more like a traditional trail bike than nearly any other long-travel 29er we’ve tested. The Fugitive achieves its versatility through its moderate travel, while the Troy achieves it through relatively conservative geometry and a supportive but not overly-progressive leverage curve. It’s just a normal bike, but in a good way.

I think they will... this was just the first bike out the hopper with their new frame design and language (new geometry, linkage and superboost, etc, etc)

Carbon fiber is a form of highly engineered plastic with a non-homogenous internal structure (the "fibers") held in a heat set resin matrix. Sometimes people likes to just call it plastic to kind of playfully de-mystify the material. Definitely not the same material as Legos, though 😜

In regard to the geometry. A 29er with a HTA of 65 and a quarter to 66 degrees; wheel base of 1180... A fork of 150 to a rear travel of 135 mm... and a reputation like Knolly? Most bikes with those attributes present more on the, um, stuffy side. A grown up's bike. A dentist's bike... ok, an old dentist's bike. Which is cool. Not sayin' it's not. Point is, Knolly doesn't make that kind of bike. Sure, they gave one to you...on paper, but that's not what you see here. Even if you are an old dentist. There's gotta be an 18 year old in there somewhere that want's you to buy one of these.

i have room for a 2.6 on my ex 8 , 148 mm rear..so , yeah , why 157 mm ?

148 doesnt provide much of a stiffness increase over 142, while 157 increase stiffness drastically. Cant remember the stats off the top of my head but its a lot.

... and you can re-use your old 150/157 DH hub. Not a new spacing, although mfg's are updating the flange spacing to give better bracing angles for larger wheels.

i ain't buying it...they could have used a 92 mm bb instead of a 73 mm bb to correct clearance issues. it's all about $$$ period.
