Abby Cunningham came along and Brooke up this miracle family community that their cul-de-sac had that they were so close and loving then it really started with Chip Roberts.

I appreciate Michelle Lee's acting abilities. I felt so sorry for Karen, because she gain weight each season and as an actress that must of been painful for Michelle. But even with her weight gain in Knot's Landing she was still beautiful when the show ended and also, after the show ended.

gained weight? She looked pretty much exactly the same size through the entire run of the show to me! If there was any weight gain it was minimal and barely noticeable.

@@jlusk999 I agree. I never noticed it, either. Besides, that is a natural thing in life. TV has got people believing they are supposed to look 20 forever. Those shows have wardrobe, makeup, and lighting professionals to make them look so wonderful. Some celebs even admit they look NOTHING like they look on TV. Straight smoke and mirrors. LOL!

Everything bad that could happen seemed to happen to this poor lady. There were a lot of psychos in every story. The one I remember was jill. Tried to frame Gary from the grave after taking herself out.

@@conithomson4409this show had psychos in every corner Karen got kidnapped by one, then her daughter fell in love with one, Val got tragic with one that made her try to kill herself and Joshua rush fell to his death for being abusive.

Brain freeze. What is Karen dying of? I know she became addicted to pills but I don’t recall her “dying” of anything terminal.

She was in a terminal situation to take a risk too go under a life threatening surgery to have the bullet removed from being shot and it's was in a very fragile place for the operation.

Most of these performers could not make it in traditional primetime acting. Thats how they ended up in daytime.

@@robertscott8344 Yes but Josh Duhamels and Julianne Moores don't happen often. Usually Wendy's actress come on the scene and they blow the canvas away and the fans away they don't last long. They leave the minute their contract is up. This is basically the number one thing that the soap operas live off of the come-and-go heartthrobs that can act.
